FAQs - booking Ohio flights

  • Will there be movies on my flight from New York to Ohio?

You can check the airplane information in the results of your KAYAK search to see what type of onboard entertainment is available. For example, Frontier Airlines usually does not have any entertainment consoles or streaming services available, but there are United and American Airlines flights that do have streaming entertainment, although sometimes there is a fee. To be sure, you could check with the airline.

  • Will I have to check in again if I make a stop between New York and Ohio?

You may notice that some KAYAK search results have a red triangle next to the stop information. This may mean that you have to go through the check-in process again, also called a self-transfer. For example, this could happen on flights with Spirit and Frontier connecting in Atlanta. You can filter these self-transfer flights out in the Flight quality filter on KAYAK.

  • How many bags can I bring onboard with me on my flight to Ohio from New York?

There are icons below the fares on your KAYAK search that should tell you how many carry-ons you can bring onboard with you. For example, some airlines, like Spirit and Frontier, usually will charge extra for carry-ons, while others, like Delta and American, usually will include one carry-on.

  • Are there pet relief areas at the airports in New York City?

Yes, you can find pet relief airports in many locations inside all three New York City airports. In Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and in La Guardia Airport (LGA), there are stations in each airport’s Terminals A, B, and C. In John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), they are located in Terminals 1, 4, 5, 7, and 8.

  • How does KAYAK find such low prices on flights from New York to Ohio?

KAYAK is a travel search engine. That means we look across the web to find the best prices we can find for our users. With over 2 billion flight queries processed yearly, we are able to display a variety of prices and options on flights from New York to Ohio.

  • How does KAYAK's flight Price Forecast tool help me choose the right time to buy my flight ticket from New York to Ohio?

KAYAK’s flight Price Forecast tool uses historical data to determine whether the price for a flight to Ohio from New York is likely to change within 7 days, so travelers know whether to wait or book now.

  • What is the Hacker Fare option on flights from New York to Ohio?

Hacker Fares allow you to combine one-way tickets in order to save you money over a traditional return ticket. You could then fly to Ohio with an airline and back to New York with another airline.

  • What is KAYAK's "flexible dates" feature and why should I care when looking for a flight from New York to Ohio?

Sometimes travel dates aren't set in stone. If your preferred travel dates have some wiggle room, flexible dates will show you all the options when flying to Ohio from New York up to 3 days before/after your preferred dates. You can then pick the flights that suit you best.

The flight was about an hour late, and there was notable turbulence for a good part of it. But of course, that was not Alaska Air’s fault, and I think the crew did a good job of keeping it safe. Service suffered a little as a result (I wish I had been offered the option of purchasing food). Overall, it was ok, because we landed safe and sound. Thanks!

The flight was late getting in, so many were stressed. The snacks for a LONG flight was not enough.

The whole experience went very well except the rest rooms were a disaster

The entire flight was terrible. I recently had neurocervical surgery, and I needed a wheelchair to get to the gate. They were wonderful, truly. The flight staff was lovely, as well. Despite the need for assistance, I was put in the middle seat in the last row in front of the toilets. It was "policy" that I couldn't be moved. The pain I felt after the flight was astromnomical. The flight was so WARM, I was sweating, and the "air" did nothing to the stuffy feeling. The seats were uncomfortable, the plane itself was in bad/worn condition (although very clean - thanks to the staff) - and the flight was definitely rocky (not the pilot's fault, of course). All in all - one of the worst flights I've ever taken. The humans were wonderful!! You have a really great team. But your flight policies and your plane are absymal. For what you charge, you need to upgrade your plane and your policies.

Clean plane, relatively spacious in Main Cabin. One experience: I'm 79, with torn rotator cuff (R shoulder). I asked for help getting my carryon into the overhead bin and was told that the staff "does not help with this" (or some such phrase. On previous flights, help has been offered (and accepted). I prevailed on a fellow passenger for this. Also, why not board back to front?? Would this not help in the speed of boarding?

Not a good experience, we were delayed by an hour due to maintenance issues.

No tv, movies for a 6 hour flight! Worst airline I have ever travelled!

The seats were incredibly small and the attendants were grumpy the whole time.

Staff great. Tight seating. Pretzels and drink same as any other airline.

Long flights are best when the seats have movies and shows to watch.

Awful. Flight was continuously getting delayed and gates kept changing without any reason. Flight was delayed for more then 3 hours

I'm a larger, athletic guy (6'2", 260lbs powerlifter) and I found the seats incredibly uncomfortable with minimal leg room, especially in a window seat. Now, I full understand that being smaller may change my view but even if I was 80lbs less, my legs would be the same size and I was sandwiched between my seat and the seat in front of me.

Seat back monitors and outlets were dead and not working.

Service was good for such a short flight. Small plane but smooth flight.

The flight was delayed but we got to our final destination.

Uncomfortable seats on 14 hour flight. Mediocre food. On time and great crew.

The helpful attitude of the staff, and being a wheelchair passenger everyone was helpful and understanding. The trip was made comfortable by the upgraded seat which was given without my request, that was a great surprise. Thank you Delta.

Everything went well with the flight. But one of the flight attendants had on inappropriate pants. She had on an old worn out pair of sweat pants. The back seam was unrivaled and should not have been worn for work. If I had not seen her in the airport with the standard type of luggage, I certainly would not have thought she was working for Delta. Not a good look at all for representation.

Great!! I haven’t had a bad experience with them.

The plane was one hour late cause they were doing some reparations with us on the plane no mention I was in the first seat and the door was open the entire time with 8 degrees! The plane was totally dirty no mention old ! The staff was nice but no put together, the attention to details and passenger experience is missing and i always travel first !!! Is better the lounge than the plane! KLM/air France every details is taken care maybe you need a creative creator or experience client need asap was terrible and not memorable for the price that I payed very dissatisfied

Great, the flight attendants were very friendly and the food was also good.

The overall flight went well and the aircrew was pleasant.

Very comfortable Prem economy seats for a long haul flight. Had a problem with the tv that the crew fixed so was great!

Cathay Pacific seems to be an airline in trouble and on its way out. Lots of broken or poorly functioning things like entertainment screens, seats, and enough well trained staff to handle a full flight. Sad...

The flight crew was exceptionally good. Personal needs were well met. The food choices were very nice.

Excellent. Planes are a little older and could get some refurbishment, but besides that everything was excellent.

While I was in great pain, the seat was sufficiently comfortable to allow me to rest and not be in so much pain.

we were upgraded which was a blessing and tender mercy for us. I fell the day before and was in extreme pain from knee to shoulder. Sitting in a more comfortable seat during the flight was an unexpected blessing and experience.

Seats were very comfortable. Crew were excellent. Food very good.

Flight crew was especially thoughtful and attentive, made sure our seats were comfortable so we could rest on the long flight

The flight was excellent. The crew was welcoming and attentive.

Going through JFK’s security is a mess. The TSA security said no shoes on the bins. So, we place our shoes in the belt and they came out all over the belt. Boarding was delayed and Flight as well.

There were multiple delays but JetBlue tried to make the boarding and departure process as quick and efficient as possible. The crew was as detached from reality as could be, meaning: not very friendly and just doing things by the numbers.

40 minute delay before take off after boarding flight. Bright lights throughout night flight due Issues with light panels. In flight Entertainment nonfunctional

Another horrible Jet Blue experience. This airline has suffered the biggest decline of all from best to worst. TVs didn’t work (again). internet was temperamental. Boarded late and couldn’t get organized to serve snacks.

I hate their constant delays! It’s as if I cannot confidently make plans for timing when I'm traveling with them. I slept through it, so all I can say is it was good.

There was no wheelchair or wheelchair escort at the gate..unacceptable

From bag drop to boarding, it was great. In-flight is a little different. The seats were a little uncomfortable for that long of a flight. The rest of the cabin crew except for Eva was wonderful. Eva was not friendly at all. I've had to personally encounter her twice in-flight. First time was when I had to go to the lavatory in the back of the plane, and since it was the first for me to board such tiny plane, I didn't know we were using the crew toilet. She was giving me an attitude while telling me where and how to open it since it's not the regular push to open type of door. The second one was when I had to throw trash then use the lavatory again. I asked where to throw them, and unfortunately she was the only crew in the back doodling on her phone, she had to point it out to me with an attitude then told me to wait on the carpet, which I understand because I didn't realize that, but she could have been nicer. After all, I'm a paying customer, and assisting a passenger who isn't knowledgeable about the aircraft is one of the things she's there for. The rest of the experience and crew from bag drop to in-flight were excellent except for her.

It took an hour to get my bag after landing. Not exaggerating

Boarding process on JetBlue is an absolute disgrace. I can’t believe they can’t figure out a better way to board everyone. They called people with disabilities, mosaic and group A all at once and it was a disaster

Great service, great food, and comfortable business class seats... Friendly and professional flight attendants and ground crew, overall 5 star experience!

I was in business class, without the business class amenities. Large seat with lots of legroom, but no TV or bed. Food was okay, but I did enjoy the Turkish red wine.

Excellent service and comfort from the moment you check in. Flight crew is hyper focused on making passengers comfortable and at ease. It’s like a flying hotel!

Only chicken as a meat dish through out the flight

Movie selection was ok, but could be better. Would like to see greater selection of newer movies.

Loved the check-in experience. Very friendly staff and not crowded. I did wind up with a middle-middle seat, which was quite uncomfortable. Always appreciate the very professional staff on TAL.

Paying for reserved seats and never received the seats I paid for !! Just fake and a surprise out of their " box "

Turkish airline always good Only Turkish representatives at the gave need to be more helpfull to any staff who traveling on Turkish airline . One situation happened Ist to jfk on Feb 29 TK3 had seats I asked them to transfer me to tk3 because Feb 29 tk1 was oversold and they advise me that I might not make it for tk1 I asked them to transfer me to tk3 and they say no they can’t do it I been telling them you know that I don’t have a chance for tk 1 why would you let plane go with some empty seats on tk3 if you can transfer me to tk3 and have less staff on tk1 and still told me no I waited for tk1 9 hours and only last minute I got seat on tk1 It was not easy situation but I am glad I made it home Thank you Turkish Airline One more suggestion for Turkish Airline you need to make a FIRST CLASS cabin it would be so cool 🆒 Good luck all the best See you more

First class payment but wife’s seat broken, would recline but not lay flat. On previous flight, delays and ground crew malfunctions connecting jetway made us miss flight to Houston. I asked twice for a cart to assist us getting across the massive Istanbul Airport, but was denied. We are both over 70.

On line check in needs a lot of improvement. I tried and gave up.
