Cons:It is used as residential living and their tenants were questionable. There was trash left in the hallways. There was roaches in the bathroom. No clear direction on how to get to the second floor. Their idea of a dinning area had folding metal chairs and plastic tables. Not worth staying there again.

Pros:The only good thing about this hotel is the location. There's plenty of shops and places to eat nearby, and it's located near two major freeways. They do offer free wifi, but that is something that I expect at all hotels these days, so I don't really consider it a plus. The connection seemed to run fine with the little that I used my phone during my short stay.
Cons:I was very disappointed with the hotel seeing that they do not offer what you pay for. I called an hour before arriving to confirm my reservation and the man who answered was not very professional. I was about to hang up thinking I dialed the wrong number when he answered with a rude "Hello". When I arrived, the lady at the desk was not welcoming at all. She didn't even want to let me check in early, even though I had gotten the okay to do so (with an extra $20 fee) from the man over the phone. I never got a smile or thank you from that lady. Even though there was an obvious language barrier, a smile or nod would have been enough. They still have not upgraded their check in system. I was required to pay a $30 deposit - cash only! - and was given a regular key (not the swiping, more secure credit card types). Once I got to my floor, I had to take a guess at what room was mine since the room number was missing from the door. The room itself is terribly outdated and dirty in appearance. The carpet had many stains, including a large bleach stain (who knows what spilled there..), and the blanket felt grimy. I didn't even bother lifting up the sheets. I laid on some of my extra clothes instead. The bathroom appeared to be clean, but still was outdated with rusty faucets. Looks like nothing has been done to it since it was built in the 70s. Worst of all was the non-functioning air conditioning unit. It turned on just fine, but it never gave me the cool air I set it for. Even after giving it a chance to kick in, the air still came out too warm. Although it did help with some circulation, especially since it was quite humid that day, the vents were stuck pointing up to the ceiling. I had to move the round wooden table directly over the vents in order for it to force some of the air downwards. That was the only way I felt any relief. It didn't feel like the hotel's management would be responsive if I complained or asked for a different room, so I didn't bother. I checked out after only four hours of being there. Had I paid $50 or less dollars for the room, I may have expected to see what I saw. But for $84 a night, much more is expected. I've stayed in hotels in Pasadena, just 5-10 minutes to the north for about the same price, and received much better service and better quality rooms.

Pros:Staff seemed to want to take care of problem .
Cons:My bed had a bunch of what looked like dead skin from someone's feet/head. There was a dead ant and hair in the other. Pillows had dried blood spots (alá bed bug). It was a horrible experience. Neck and neck with the worst place I've stayed at save front desk.
