The residence was designed in 1900 by Richard Sharp Smith, Supervising Architect for Biltmore House. Today it is an elegant Bed and Breakfast furnished with English and American antiques dating from 1670 to 1910. All of our exquisite rooms have private ensuite baths, king size beds, and fireplaces. All bathrooms have showers. Four bathrooms have whirlpool baths and one a clawfoot tub. Griffin Cottage, our new carriage house has three deluxe accommodations: the William Morris room and the Rossetti suite on the ground floor and the 1300 sq ft Cloisters as the entire second floor. Tumbled marble is used throughout for the floors and shower walls. All have separate showers with steam baths and two person whirlpools. The living room in the Cloisters features hand-carved paneling. All of Griffin Cottage is children and pet friendly with enclosed back gardens and doggy trundle beds in the ground floor rooms. All rooms have wired and wireless high speed Internet access. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel.
