Firstly location: very close to Acropolis and Plaka district. Almost in front of touristic bus (nbr 400) stop. Then we liked because we asked through the website a room for 1 couple and 1 adult with view and they arranged exactly that. And finally good service and a beautiful terrace facing Acropole, with also 2 jacuzzis.

I have stayed in many hotels around the world and I must say the Herodion was easily one of the best. All the staff were extremely helpful and very professional. The presentation of the hotel felt like 5 stars and the food was amazing. My wife and I have every intention of staying there again should we go back to Athens on holiday.
The only minor points that stopped the Herodion getting full marks in every aspect was that the bed in the double room was actually two single beds pushed side by side and the pillows/matress was a little hard.
Nice clean rooms - the rooms opposite the Acropolis are better in terms of layout and balcony space. (obvioulsy the view from other side is great) Roof top garden space is excellent
