Chris and Jenny Mullen would like to welcome you to Cairn Bay Lodge, a guesthouse for the discerning traveler set in extensive gardens with panoramic views of Ballyholme Bay and Ballymacormick PointBuilt in 1914 for Belfast City Councellor William Tyrell, The Cairn is a detached seaside villa with classic oak panelling, Dutch fireplaces and wonderful stained glass. His son Air Vice Marshall Sir William Tyrell was surgeon to the Queen Mother and the present day Queen. So proud of the fact that his son held such an illustrious position William Senior had balconies built at both the front and rear of the house in anticipation of a Royal Visit. Sadly much to his appointment this never materialised.Now it is home to Chris and Jenny Mullen, and daughter Poppy, and guests from all over the world. Good hospitality and relaxation are on offer. Jenny is a trained Beauty Therapist with a salon on the premises and and Chris is in charge of the kitchen with breakfast being his speciality.
