Cons:I reserved a mid-size car (Elantra or equivalent), and got a Corrolla, which I have always understood to be a compact. The car was dirty outside (windows, body, etc.), and filthy inside with trash in the console and under the seat, as well as some sort of food all over the floor in the back. The windshield wipers were worn and did a poor job cleaning the windows, the wiper fluid was empty, and the dash was indicating "Maintenance Required" every time I started the car. Had to wait entirely too long when dropping off, as the agent was spending time visiting and chit-chatting with someone who was picking up, while I stood in the lobby with no acknowledgement of my presence. Pros:Nice van when we got it.Cons:Had to wait for over 3 hours from my pick up time to actually get the mini-van I had ordered 8 weeks in advance! Then the car wasn't really clean and had only 3/4 tank of gas. Check in was fine the man was really happy because he need a mini-van that people were wating for. Sounds familiar.Reviewed 10 Aug 2018

Fine vehicle poor management at locationPros:As I find typical, I was upgraded to a better vehicle. It was actually better for my needs than what I had reserved.Cons:I have only been in to the Orem Budget location for two rentals, one truck and one car. That means 4 visits, 2 pickup and 2 drop off. Of those 4 visits, I heard, "We're a franchise and corporate has us overbooked. I don't know if we'll have enough cars/trucks," 3 of those visits. Add a long line and when I got my car it had crumbs on the seats and trash in the console and it was a pretty poor experience.Reviewed 27 Jul 2018

Arrive on timePros:We were up graded to an awesome 2017 Ford Flex. It was wonderful!Cons:The manager at the location stated that if you don't arrive on time for your vehicle pick up, they will just give your reservation away to the next costumer. We were lucky that they weren't busy, but it made me angry that the company would just disregard a reservation that I made two months in advance and reconfirmed a week before pick up. If your reservation says to pick the car up at Noon, they mean Noon, not later.Reviewed 12 Jun 2017

Renting a new Ford EdgePros:The car was great. It was comfortable and performed well. The car was new so all was clean with no smoking or other problems.Cons:The car lacked a simple manual to help you determine how everything worked. I have a Prius so I knew how to work the car but someone who does not have that experience will be at a loss and it could be dangerous. There was a manual in the car but it was the worst written manual I have ever used. We were stopped in the dark and rain at a highway gas station trying to find answers as to why our car had almost run out of gas when we had just filled it up It took me 1 hour to go through the manual and not be able to find out how things worked. Roadside service was useless and basically told us to keep driving. We were going into a wilderness area so we were reluctant to push our luck. No one at checkout had taken the time to go over basics. This is Ford's problem--they should take a cue from Toyota and have easy to read summaries of the major features of the car and diagrams which show where the items are.Reviewed 19 Nov 2016

Car was not available. Went away emptied handed.Pros:Absolutely nothing.Cons:I reserved a minivan for 9:00 AM May 30 - 9:00 AM June 7 to pick up from the Orem Budget Car Rental. However, there was no vehicle available. I ended up taking my old, high-mileage vehicle on a road trip that week. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED. Please just man-up on your web site and say the vehicle is not available if they are overbooked. I reserved more than a week in advance. There were 4 others ahead of me with 7 passenger vehicle reservations who had to either wait several hours for cars to be delivered or who went away empty handed.Reviewed 7 Jun 2016
