Two things... One, when we picked up our car it wasn't cleaned properly and still had an old coffee cup in the car. We were in a hurry so let the lady (who was wonderful by the way) in the rental station know but just took the car and didn't wait. We also paid way more than the price that we were quoted from carrentals.com, we did do an upgrade but the cost was still over $200 more than what it should have been.2.0 Poor

Cons:
This office is the only car rental at this ferry port. We could not pick up our rental because the office closed before our ferry arrived at 2pm in the afternoon. Personnel at the ferry port told us this is a FREQUENT OCCURENCE at this location!!!!!! It would be prudent for Hertz to coordinate with the ferry schedule and at least provide for an employee to be on call for such situations, which appear to be on a regular basis. We were forced to hire a taxi to transport us to Glasgow for about $150 to get a rental! And were extremely lucky that the ferry port personnel recognized the problem and hailed a local taxi for us. Hertz totally ruined our day!10.0 Wonderful
