They told me to try the airport but that they couldn’t call because the airport doesn’t have a phone. The pick-up and drop off experience was weird. A bunch of customers were in line complaining about their experience and I really didn't like the way the staff handled their complaints. One woman (angrily) said that she had tried calling many times and could not get through. Without missing a beat, an employee stated that the phone was disconnected. How is that an okay response? How is it okay for your phone to be disconnected? It was just awkward standing in line around all of this and it made me nervous that we would be unable to get the car we reserved considering all of the complaining happening around us. My dropoff experience was also terrible. We were returning the car by 5pm on New Years even in Miami. We found an Alamo location closer to our hotel in South Beach and confirmed that we could drop the car off there, we even called Alamos customer service line to confirm the closing time of the location, we were told it was 7pm. We arrived just after 3pm and were told that they were closed. So, I decided to find another location, this one at a hospital, and after driving 30 minutes there I found no location and was told by a security guard that there was no Alamo rental car location there. Finally I returned to the original location where I picked up the car. It was scheduled to close at 5pm, I got there around 4:40 and apparently it was pure luck that I was able to return the car. An employee happened to be moving a car and told me they were closed, but he took the car and keys and said he'd close it out in the morning. He seemed to really want me to get out of there, I was concerned because we didn't do a post-rental inspection, but it seems that he closed it out without issue. Still, it wasn't a great experience to hunt for a location where I could return the car after calling and confirming our plans with Alamo themselves.2.0 Poor

The wait to get the car could have been much faster if their computer had not broken down. It was a VERY long wait and only 1 person was handling all of the people especially it being a Saturday! Car had scratches it was ME to want a walk around and request a paper listing all previous scratches2.0 Poor

I received a call a couple hours before the rental was set to begin (Avis, Sunny Isles Beach) that they didnt have the car and hoped it would be ready an hour after the scheduled rental time but they didnt know for sure. Upon further inquiry they informed me that they had no cars at all and didnt know when any of them would be back/available. Obviously this type of audible doesnt work well when you have to check out, hit the road, and have a one year old and six year old in tow. Literally the only information they could give me was an apology. I never did receive a call from them when the car did come in...maybe it never came(?) (Luckily, I called Hertz [collins ave., Sunny Isles Beach] and they had the car for me within 20 minutes of my call, which I had in my possession five minutes after getting to Hertz.6.4 Okay

I don't like the fact that when I made a reservation I didn't see the final price. When I gave the car back it was about 40 dollars more because of the tax and additional surcharge. I do not understand why the system can't show me the final price with taxes and etc when I book? Because of this I won't book the car here again as I will never know the final price.2.0 Poor
