The pick-up was okay. They wanted to give us a car we had not booked (a sedan and not a small SUV), and we had to wait for the correct car. The staff was super helpful and the drop-off in Port Elizabeth was excellent, quick and painless.
Alamo was great, the email I received from Kayak was not so good. It stated “Alamo serviced by Europcar” this is incorrect, it should be Enterprise. That will confuse a lot of first time visitors to Cape Town Airport

On collection and drop off of the vehicle I took a video of the entire car just to protect me against fraudulent damage claims made to the vehicle. After drop off I had an email stating that I had damaged the car. I checked my videos that I took on collection and the damage was there before they handed the car over to me in the beginning. I’m currently in the process of perusing this fraudulent claim made by WOODFORD CAR RENTAL in Cape Town.

When picking up I fave the agent a voucher for the rental but I charged a 2nd time. I paid for full coverage insurance, my hubcaps got stolen and I have just received an invoice for the cost of replacing the hubcaps. This is not what I expected having paid the insurance premium. Will never rent from Woodford again. A rental that should have cost just over $300 is now costing me over $1000.

I was under the impression I had already paid for the rental. They told me that was just a booking fee, and charged me an additional $50 USD. There also was an incredibly long wait to check in despite there being only one other person in line in front of me. The staff also said I could have asked to have my status transferred to the SA system, but I was not aware I needed to do this. I am wondering why I spent $50 through Kayak, will this be refunded?

I told them I didn’t want the additional insurance and they charged me for it anyways. Also please note they are closed at 1 on public holidays. Otherwise the experience was good.
Friendly efficient front desk. Car was clean, no problems. Actually parked where it was supposed to be!. Return of vehicle was seamless. Everything excellent. Did not like the exorbitant deposit on my credit card though, almost twice the total value of the 2 week rent?
I liked the way they like the security. You can just hire a car , the must better up that only over 23's can apply for this , not from over 30's please
