We were able to upgrade to a van, and they gave us a discount! The pickup was a lot faster than last time, it was efficient, even though we were a little early! The lady at the desk was nice and friendly.Cons:
I tried calling to confirm the reservation the day before. I called 5 times - once I was told they'd call me back and they never did. I called 3 more times and no one answered. Even though we showed up early, they did all that they could to accommodate us, despite having a limited number of cars available. Employees were very friendly. The car was very modern and nice.Cons:
There was a problem with our reservation. We booked 1 car from Vancouver to Whistler, and then another car 4 days later from Whistler to Vancouver. It however registered as 2 cars from Vancouver to Whistler, so we had to clear that up when picking up the first car. We booked a small car, but got a van. We however understand that the movement of Avis cars across the country don't always allow for the wanted type of car to be at the wanted location on the desired date. I found it very sketchy that Hertz, knowing I was travelling to Whistler, did not mention upgrading to winter tires. Shame on me for assuming they would. I found myself in very dangerous driving conditions. I feel like potential money, rather than my safety, was their priority. No more Hertz!10.0 Wonderful
