The room itself was not too bad. However the air does not work and it will be hot
Legit drug addicts roaming around the halls. Felt unsafe anywhere but in room
The shuttle took 40 minutes to pick me up one time, the entire 4th floor smelled like marijuana from one of the rooms by the elevator and the rooms were dirty and with no air conditioning. The thermostat was completely broken and the room Was overall awful, I will not be back or recommend this.
Big rooms, clean and spacious restroom. Friendly Staff. Free drop/pickup to Metro.
Musty/Dampness odor and can't change the temperature in the room so it was too hot all night long. Bit noisy.
it's most convenient and valuable features is its shuttle service to the train station. not a long train ride to the city. the price is cheaper than other hotels but you get what you pay for. rooms were spacious and everything was clean. if you plan on being gone all day then it's worth the stay.
there is no air conditioning in the entire hotel! each room has a fan that circulates the air throughout the hotel. fan makes so much squeaky noise that you had to lower the settings. the warm are wasn't too bad during the night but it was very humid therefor always leaving a lingering musty smell. luckily we were gone most of the day so it was bearable. WiFi was terrible, open network that logged you off every 15 minutes. I think I might cough up the extra $30-$50 a night for a more quality hotel since I had my family along. and there's NO pool even though the description states it. location is kind of ghetto, nothe many options for restaurants so I suggest going towards the city. and the restaurant the hotel claims is next door is actually a short walk down the hill but we decided to pull out because the restaurant looked sketchy. 2 cars at 6pm on a Saturday. no business means not a popular place to eat. the breakfast section was a madhouse and super hot! no a/c in a room full of people, toasters, ovens = terrible heat.
The staff was polite and professional, free wifi, free hot continental breakfast, and the beds were comfortable.
As soon as we got there to check in we were waiting for our room and another customer came in... Drunk/sick I don't know, but asked for the bathroom right off the receptionist desk opened the door and leaving the door open started puking like crazy and loud, it was disgusting. After a few minutes the security guard came up after her and shut the door to the bathroom. That's not really the hotels fault, but it is about the quality of people that stay at the hotel. We got a non-smoking room and it didn't stink but the hallway reeked of cigarettes. The shower water took 40 minutes after letting it run to warm up, not a good way to wake up. Also, there were no DVD or Bluray players in the room or at the receptionist desk to rent or borrow.
They went out of their way to provide timely advice and friendly service. They were very good ambassadors for a visitor from small-town Canada on a modest budget. They answered my many questions.
If you're using your cell phone during the day, it's often out of battery power at the end. Tough to call the shuttle, even from the metro, when you can't use your cell. No place to recharge. No pay phones. Station managers can't help you. It would be a long and confusing walk. At night, it would be a concern. I was able to figure it all out, and extended my stay.
shuttle to the subway
maintenance hotel, breakfast
The shuttle drivers were the best, and the reservation desk attendants were also the best.
Very small elevators and no jaquizi.
It was close to Washington, D.C. and they offered a great tour of the city.
services in the room
Internet services not effective
The shuttle bus to Metro station, the breakfast and helpful staff. The hotel is also not far from hi-way and DC.
The window in the room can't open for further ventilation. Also it isn't easy to figure out how to adjust room temperature.
