There was mold in the shower
Just about okay, for the high priced downtown vicinity, this hotel gives a 1Br apartment for $110 ish
Not great interiors
location is good
run down, dingy, tiny rooms, uncomfortable bed, charge extra for wifi, not even a coffee in the am. stay away!
Location is good and staff are friendly.
This place needs to be renovated. Carpet on the elevator walls? Small improvements can go a long way.
Location is excellent
TV channel choices limited. No movies on demand
I've stayed in chicago many times and this was by far the best location wise. The rooms weren't as cleanly as I'd hoped especially for the price and the room was tiny but the great location made up for the room.
Not very clean
Easy access to Michigan ave.
No refridgerator, room needs to be updated, paint old and chipped. Need free internet in room. Big dip in bed too soft. Bathroom too small.
Pool area was nice and night staff very friendly
Dirty bathroom, mold in shower, hot room couldn't cool down no air control. Door hard to shut
This hotel is a steal at a decent rate. We took the train from the airport to about 2.5 blocks away and saved the expensive parking fees. The staff was super nice and the rooms were pretty standard. We had no complaints about cleanliness just the fact the hotel is showing some age. I image that's normal for the price and location. Id totally stay there again and recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the city.
If you get a lower floor there's a ton of street noise. We were floor 9 and we could hear everything from motorcycles to emergency vehicles. We kicked our sound machine app on its highest level to drown it out. I'd try and get as high a floor as possible.
The location was acceptable if you like cities that are shopping malls. Staff was great friendly and helpful
Tawdry worn conditions small cramped rooms too expensive for quality
fantastic location. magnificent mile, nbc tower, even walked to Lake michigan, and found a nice restaurant within a few blocks.
bathrooms are small and appear outdated. room size is ok, but smallish. The bedding seemed odd to me, as it appeared a sheet, a thin blanket from 1892, and another sheet, not referring to the sheet around the mattress. when we checked in at 10pm, they did not have the room i wanted, as i wanted a queen and instead got 2 double beds. however, after about 20-30 minutes, a room was located
Bathroom was not very clean. Hair on the shower walls and fingerprints on the mirror. Got out of there ASAP
Location, value, service, valet was terrific
Small rooms, small bathroom
The 15 th floor rooms desperately need renovation! There are not enough plugs. There was no desk for a business traveler. The staff was nice. But, it was a horribly ugly hotel that makes it feel unsafe for a single traveler.
Renovate! What a great location to become a hot property! And the staff is lovely.
The location of the Inn of Chicago was unmatched; literally 30-second walk to Michigan and 10-minute hike to Navy Pier. The staff was friendly and inviting, while the bell hops were exceptional at their line of work.
The room was extremely small for the price, but that is a given when staying so close to Michigan Avenue. The WiFi was an extra charge, which is kind of crazy to me in this day and age, but it's a minimal inconvenience to what was an excellent stay.
The location of the hotel is what made me book it. In the heart of magnificent mile along the mitchigen ave. within walking distance to a lot of torrist places
The hotel was horibble. The furnature seems old. It seems that the managment is very bad. It's 3 stars if not 2.5 stars.
Old Bathrooms. My first room was too small and smell badly. Second one, the King room was much better
rooms not like pictured, need to be updated. Small, small bathroom. Had to pay for WiFi, one days service almost as much as a mounth at home. Hallways run down.
My bed was comfortable, the sheets were in great shape, the housekeeper was nice, and everything worked. The location is very good with lots of shopping and grocery stores nearby. And best of all, it was cheap(ish)!
The building is clearly quite old. While the staff was nice, there was often only one person at the desk with a line of people to talk to them. Sometimes I just had a quick question but didn't have the patience to stand in line behind the people checking in and out. Wifi is extra but worked well. The elevators are very small!
I liked the location. Everything was within walking distance. I also liked the rooftop view. The lobby was nice as well.
The bathroom was pretty small but it wasn't a deal breaker. The tv channel selections were limited.
The location is great, right next to the Magnificent Mile. The staff was very nice and polite.
When I reserved the room, I made sure to pick a room that included Wifi. When we got there, it was an extra charge for wifi. I had to fix the toilet so it would stop filling up the tank all night. My room had, quite possibly, the smallest bathroom ever created. The toilet and sink were very low, which made it very difficult for my 7 1/2 months pregnant wife to use them. I asked for a room with a view, and I got a very small window looking out at the side of another building. The room was very small.
You have to pay to use Wi-fi in your room
Staff was extremely helpful and always nice!
quick service, clean room. Had to change room because the original room had not been cleaned. They changed the room immediately.
Fantastic location and great staff. I was doubtful of my experience there due to the rediculously low price and thought there had to be a catch. But I went with the reviews of those who had previously stayed there, and those positive reviews were spot on. Rooms may have needed some updating but it worked well for us because we only used them for a small portion of the day. The decor was simple with no major amenities. The room actually had more space to move around than those at other hotels.
Great location, helpful and courteous staff, great location,
Missing typical amenities such as a fridge, microwave, complimentary breakfast, or free wifi
No acoustic into the room, small bath and do not have a remote control for the heating
It was quite empty
Clean sheets & quiet room. No mugs for coffee or spoons. Bring your own tea--they don't offer any complimentary.
The location is perfect. One block off Michigan Avenue.
Rooms are very small, bathroom are really small and the rooms have very poor sound control you can hear every conversation, and door closing,
the place is run down with absolutley no attention to detail. Faucets leak, carpets are dirty, paint is peeling and no one seems to care. the fire in the fireplace is electric and the hotel simply takes no pride in itself.
No clock in room. No comforter on bed.
Staff was very friendly and helpful
Carpet is pulling up in the hall, feels like you are walking down a low rent apartment building hallway and into and single room occupancy run down room. Television movies didn't work, no fridge, tiny bathroom, tiny window, small room. Cannot believe this cost $250/night. Should be labeled a motel and should be $60/night.
The lobby was nice and so were the front desk staff. Location is pretty great, but that's about where I run out of pros...
Room was tiny! Everything was cramped, old, or very cheaply/poorly updated. The bed was very uncomfortable and our room's window felt more appropriate for a jail cell than a $250/nt hotel room. Outrageously overpriced for what you get...so many other downtown hotels are similarly priced, but not nearly as disappointing.
