The Ashford Inn is named for Col. John Ashford, who fought on the front lines at Gettysburg and Fredericksburg during the war between the states. Col. Ashford turned in his regiment to Gen. Grant at Appamattox and returned home to Clinton shortly afterwards. The Col. and his wife raised their family in this lovely home and were responsible for many of the renovations to the house that exist today. The Ashford Inn has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the Dept. of the Interior as part of the College Historical Project and was featured in the April 1997 issue of Colonial Homes Magazine. We offer five guest rooms with private baths. The Ashford Inn offers dinners with advance notice. We also have full liquor license and bar on premises. The inn has high speed wireless internet. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel.
