The Chicken Coop, a comfortable cottage with 2 guest rooms and private baths and 1 guest room sharing a bath with innkeepers, is located on U S Hwy 78 15 miles east of Athens,GA. Guests share a kitchen and living room with cable TV. The private entrance to the Chicken Coop and all guest room doors have deadbolts. Wireless internet is accessible. The White Leghorn Room has a queen-size bed and a private porch and a private entrance. The Rhode Island Red room is furnished with lovely period furniture. The Dominick Room has a queen-size bed and a single hide-a-bed sofa. In this suite is a separate sitting area also with a single hide-a-bed sofa, perfect for a family. Grounds contain swings and several seating areas. Chicken and eggs are our breakfast specialty, although other menus could be requested. Historical sites of Oglethorpe County, antique shops, eateries (including an eclectic restaurant) are nearby. Comfort and hospitality make The Chicken Coop the place to roost.
