One of Arkansas's most eccentric towns, Eureka Springs, which is nestled in the Ozark Mountains, has been named one of the National Trust for Historic Preservation's "Dozen Distinctive Destinations." The winding streets of its downtown district are filled with unusual shops, art galleries, a wide array of restaurants and bars that feature live music - particularly jazz and blues. Eureka Springs is also well known for its jazz, blues and bluegrass festivals, but live music is not the only thing to do after dark. The Auditorium in Eureka Springs often features big-name performers. Past entertainers include Lucinda Williams and Bill Cosby.
