Rua Sao Jose, Faro 8005-465The Pousada de Estoi is set in the old 19th Century Estoi Palace, which used to belong to the Viscount of Estoi, Jose Francisco da Silva. It took 20 years to build the palace and in May 1909 a huge party was thrown in the gardens to celebrate the inauguration. After the Viscount's death, the palace remained in the family until 1987, at which time it was acquired by Faro Municipal Council.
