Newly renovated! This antebellum rice plantation, located on the beautiful Black River, is regarded as one of the most intact rice plantations of its era. It was used for the filming of the movie The Patriot. With over 900 acres of forests, swamps, and open fields, Mansfield is a haven for wildlife of all kinds. The street approaching the Manor house is lined with magnificent Live Oaks. Beyond these is a village of original slave cabins, a church and the slave school house. The Manor house itself, though understated on the outside, has exquisite details of period architecture on the inside. A small boat ramp is available for water sports and fishing. Hiking/biking trails abound, and a fleet of bicycles makes exploring fun. Pets are welcome!
