Our names are Stuart Annie Whitehead we are delighted that 2012 marks our twelfth year in sharing our family home for BB Primrose cottage for self-catering. Huntshaw Barton is a 10th century farmhouse next to the quaint village church surrounded by beautiful countryside and outstanding views over the valley woods. Steeped in history, records show the farmhouse was utilised during the Civil War . Local detectors have unearthed ancient artefacts from our land dating back to the 11th century. The centally heated spacious BB rooms (en-suite) are south-facing enjoy the countryside views. All have TV/freeview, tea/coffee facilities. There are either arm chairs or a sofa in the bedrooms. Breakfasts are cooked using local produce ( when available) eggs from our free range hens. We offer a truly warm welcome, peace and relaxation. Repeat bookings we greatly value. We are close to Barnstaple, Bideford, Civil War town of Gt.Torrington ,Tarka Trail, Gardens: RHS Rosemoor, Arlington Court, Hartland Abbey.Westward Ho! and Instow are 15 minutes away. Visit the historic village of Clovelly or take a day cruise to Lundy Island and you could see breeding puffins and seabirds, basking sharks and seals. BB Open all year. Parking in courtyard. No children. N.B Dogs at extra charge. PRIMROSE COTTAGE (self -catering, no children) is a delightful, unique two bedroom cottage set within the rural grounds of Huntshaw Barton. Circa 1600, the shippen has been lovingly restored awarded 4 stars by Visit Britain. The cosy cottage has maintained its own character equipped to the highest standard. Our repeat bookings from the same people year after year show the success comfort of the cottage.We look forward to welcoming you.
