Located on the Northern End of Eleuthera, Harbour Island sports three miles of pink powder surf of hilly land that earned it the title of 'The Best Island In The Caribbean' by Travel & Leisure Magazine. Harbour Island is dotted with a variety of luxurious oceanfront resorts but is perhaps most famous for it's grand Pink Sands Beach, spanning over the complete eastern side of the island. Dunmore Town, the only town on Harbour Island, is a mecca of traveler attractions including Dorothea's, Pat's, and Sarah's, hometown straw specialists, and souvenir shops stocked with bags, hats, accessories, T-shirts. Food stands peddle the latest in Caribbean fare. The old homes dotting the narrow streets of Dunmore Town are reminiscent of fairy-tale gingerbread houses and are outlined by expressive picket fences. The motorized wheels of golf carts, bicycles, and taxis are the best transportation for getting around the high terrain of Harbour Island. Exuberant Harbour Island is a five minute ferry ride away from the North Eleuthera Dock.
