Huntington Beach is a lovely coastal state park with freshwater and saltwater marshes full of wildlife. Created from property deeded from a wealthy philanthropist, the state park also includes three miles of beach. It's an excellent bird watching location because of the many species of birds that use the state park as a stopping point on seasonal migrations. With 2500 acres included, Huntington Beach is a fine spot to hike and appreciate nature. There are other things to do in and around Huntington Beach that will make the time well spent as visitors get a glimpse of the natural beauty of the South Carolina low country.
