Location was great, the beach was very nice. We paid for an ocean-view room and we originally were given a room on the 3rd floor that was directly above the nexus and had no ocean view whatsoever. After asking for a new room we were assigned a room on the 5th floor with a partial ocean view. During our 5 night stay our room was cleaned only once despite asking to have it cleaned, For $700/night they should have been able to change out the sheets a couple times. My fiancé and I are not overly picky or fussy and we were able to enjoy our time in Maui, but I’m glad that we didn’t book a destination wedding or honeymoon here.

Good place to stay. Staff was very knowledgeable, friendly & helpful. Restaurant was excellent & luau was very interesting & educational about Hawaii.

Pros:Loved everything about this place. We had a great room with a view and saw whales regularly. The staff was great and we loved every minute.

Pros:Beautiful beach & grounds
Cons:Cottage walls very thin; could hear every conversation of even the quiet neighbors. Unfortunately, many were loud and inconsiderate, talking loudly and playing TV at high volume late at night (>11pm). Upstairs neighbors had several apparently unsupervised children who were running, jumping and screaming well past 11pm several nights in a row. They occasionally ran outside behind our ground floor unit to play with other unsupervised children late into the night. I called Hotel Security several times, to no avail. Also had drunken man spend several minutes trying to get into our room, well past midnight, until his slightly less drunk friend figured out they were at the wrestling my door. Several weddings on the property probably contributed to the unsupervised children and wandering drunks.

Pros:The staff made us feel very comfortable, were very responsive and accommodating to requests. The man at the gate made a point of welcoming us home every time we drove back in, which was very nice. Pools and lounge areas are nice, although the pool and jacuzzi closes a bit earlier than we thought it would. If you play tennis, they have many new courts and a pro shop. Although older, a close walk to other resorts and Whaler's Village. Definitely a good place for the price.
Cons:The housekeeping staff seemed to always come really early as we were getting ready for the day. Call me crazy but when I am on vacation I sometimes like to sleep in,
