The main house of Valcour Verandas features a two-story wrap-around veranda with the lower front verandas a full 16 feet deep for the room you need. Outdoor weddings are always successful, even when it rains, because the ceremony can be quickly moved onto the verandas. The center of the house is the Grand Ballroom with 18 foot ceilings and antique pine flooring for the ideal wedding dance floor. Guests have the space they need to relax in privacy or join in the party. Valcour Verandas offers suites and rooms for luxurious overnight stays. Each suite or room has a private bath and you can eat in your room or with the other guests in the dining area.
Champion live oak trees reign majestically over land settled by the original Stephen F. Austin colonists. These trees shaded the family home of a prosperous antebellum sugar plantation with ruins still visible today. You can feel the spirit of 1846 -- the grandeur of the Old South. Only an hour from Houston or Galveston, but worlds apart.
The Valcour Verandas intimate Dining Room seats 20 and the two story Ballroom with an 18 foot ceiling seats 120. Both these rooms are ideal for any function from a simple business meeting to a formal wedding. We also offer cooking classes and on-site chef-prepared meals for large groups.
