Lalinde is on the main road and train route between Bordeaux-Bergerac-Sarlat-Perigueux, close to the ancient caves and rock drawings of the Vézère Valley, we share the beauty of literally 100's of beautiful Chateaux built from the rich buttery stone of the region. The gourmand delights of the Perigord, including confit de canard, magret de canard, truffle, cepe, walnuts, foie gras complimented by Monbazillac - luscious late harvest semillon or our fabulous local table wines - Bergerac Rouge - a traditional Bordeaux blend, Bergerac Sec, a blend of semillon and sauvignon. With one of the highest hours of sunshine in France, the Dordogne region is a beautiful region of lush green forests, deeply carved by rivers fed from the Massif Central, rich in alluvial soil, our local farmers crop their land with a medley of strawberries, nodding sunflowers, maize, wheat, tobacco, walnuts, chestnuts, hazelnuts along with rich green paddocks.
