Very clean, comfortable hotel. Location on the strip can't be beat. Other strip hotels you have to walk a mile from your room to the actual sidewalk. Not here. Easy in and out. The breakfast and pizza in the little eatery were delicious; just not inexpensive. Convenient Starbucks right off the casino. Staff everywhere were very pleasant. And, of course, the cookies were awesome!
The parking garage could use a makeover; seems a little scary at first, but was fine.
the cookies are a nice touch. they are good. great location.
Hard to get any real sleep when wanted or needed, but its next to the airport so its to be expected. If that isn't enough to keep you awake the discomfort in the bedding sure will. the pillows are stuffed with cotton candy or something the way they lack support.
Comfortable bed, good sized room, historic pool and wedding chapel (icons of Las Vegas) easy access to Mandalay Bay tram. Warm cookies.
Smoking in casino. Some light shining through window blinds at night.
warm chocolate cookies, interior design it's like your really in a resort, cleanliness, comfortable bathrobe is a big plus
the sound of the AC was so noisy; the bed is comfortable but I didn't have a good night sleep because of the sound of the old AC soooo loud and annoying. I thought it's only in our room but the conference room AC is also noisy, everytime it turns on (it was set as auto) I couldn't hear the speaker. So we didn't stay another night, we have to move to another hotel.. the real Hilton. I'm glad I was able to sleep in there.
they hotel claimed they lost my reservation that I had made through our travel company at work. They told me there were sold out and there was nothing they could do to help me. I sat down in their lobby, got on Kayak to find an alternative. But what did I see, I could book a room at this hotel. So I did it just to prove a point and they magically "found a room" because I was able to book in Kayak. Thank you Kayak but shame on Tropicana.
Noise from nearby concert
Warm cookies, nice staff, comfy room, Hilton Hospitality
Front desk staff pleasant and welcoming Upgraded to mini suite Resort fee waived Beach Cafe provided delicious breakfast and dinner food Enjoyed "Raiding the Rock Vault" show at the Tropicana Theater Doormen very friendly and helpful
Room was dirty on check in - bottle cap on floor, marks on sheets - it was 1am though and we were just far too tired to complain at the time No coffee in the room, had to pay $4 a day at Starbucks if I wanted one Cost of food and drinks at convenience store very high Beach Cafe server George unapologetic about his poor service at breakfast Very sparse Casino
The pool was large and well prepared for a large group.
All of the staff worked hard, but there were not nearly enough bartenders or restaurant workers. The Casino had more than enough employees, though. The food and drinks were way over-priced--someone is making a lot of money.
It was very filthy The bathrooms smell awful
The room was nice. Enjoyed the decor!
Would have been nice to have a fridge and microwave.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Lost and found was very helpful locating item I left in my room after I had checked out..thank you Jay for finding my glasses
pool, staff, room all great
wish it had more restaurants and that the lounge served food. It would be nice to have a Mexican restaurant or a burger/pub restaurant. There are two fine dining restaurants, a pool restaurant, and a snacky type of place. The lounge had good drinks but no snacks or food available to order.
Was inexpensive but like everyone else, the resort fee at check in was not expected when we paid in advance. Room was clean.
Unexpected resort fee, having to re-verify wifi access every day, room A/C was broken and stuck running so it was 63 degrees in there until multiple phone call brought someone to fix it, unfriendly staff, lack of restaurants/dining options, etc. Tried it once, will not stay again...
I loved the decor. It was nice. Welcoming and accommodating for the most part. The beds were comfy. The pillows were a little to thick. Close to MGM Grand. Which I was there for SCENTSY reunion. Easy to get back and forth. Staff was accommodating
The FIRST room we were given on the 12th floor had someone else's bags already in there. I called the front desk and they "upgraded"our room to a "strip view" on the 9th floor. Got into that room and it was literally right next to the elevators. Loud mechanical workings? No Thank you and the "strip view" was the back side off mgm and front of Hooters. Decided to call back and ask for a room not by the elevators and that room was doable with a view of the luxor, Excalibur, and Mandalay bay which is technically not a strip view but we thought it was lol. Plenty of drawers and hangers in the closet
The spa was nice and if you sign up for the Tropicana Players Club card you'll receive 10% off. The location is conveniently close to the airport so the taxi fare was only $11.
A hidden $25 per day resort fee is charged upon arrival and is not included in the online price. The pool looked nice but had a "issue with the water" which required the staff to prevent us from using it for the day we wanted to. Drinks in the lounge are very expensive. Room did not have a mini fridge
The hotel is beautiful and at a convenient location. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
The mandatory resort fee at check-in was unexpected and doesn't make any sense.
We stayed in the bungalows, which were offset from the main hotel. The room was quiet, clean and spacious. We were there for a convention at another hotel, so we did not gamble. No comment on the casino. tropicana has a comfortable lounge to grab a drink in. The staff were fine and the food at the beach cafe was pretty good. Overall, quiet, clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.
Not enough food choices, but one can always stroll over to the MGM. Gym was not impressive. Our room also did not have a mini fridge, which was kind of a bummer
The show - "Raiding the Rock Vault" was very good and the location was good for getting around the strip.
They didn't clean my room the first time I requested, but then came and did a good job when I asked them the next day!
The illusions show.
Kayak said we were paid in full and then we had to pay resort fee of $28./day that we did not budget for. No mall like facilities like other hotel/casinos so we never spent much time in our hotel. Rooms in towers were very noisy from street noise and a wedding going on and we were inconvenienced by having to repack and go to a bungalow. The TV was very poor and had no menu to explain what show you were watching like my cable tv at home does - hated it. PPV too expensive - double home. Maids were very poor - sometimes no washcloths, never cleaned shower or toilet, rarely replaced amenities or gave clean drinking glasses or changed the sheets unless we asked. We would go out for the day and come back around 3pm for a rest and they would just be starting to clean rooms near ours. 6.95 to use the internet and check our banks etc. and no way to have just an account for the duration of the trip and only pay that once - we had to pay 3 different days which is a lot for us. Never won a dime in any of the slots so after 3 days moved to Flamingo, MGM, Mandalay Bay, etc. for gambling and won pretty good there.
The location is great!
Rooms should have mini refrigerators!!! The lights in the bathroom were poorly lit -- needs a much better wattage. The shower head was too low, even for someone 5 feet 9 inches tall. I kept on hitting the tub plug with my foot, at least on occasion -- poorly placed. A big negative is the film on the windows. They prevent you from taking good pictures. It's probably for filtering out the sun, which is great, but it blocks out more than the sun -- it's a big negative. No fan in the bathrooms -- gotta leave the door open a crack. One big negative is there are no blackout drapes when the sun starts to come up in the morning. The wood shutters don't block the light effectively. I'd rather stay at the Westgate, which is cheaper, on Paradise Road. They have blackout drapes, refrigerators, blow dryers, quiet hallways.
Was large enough to have fun, beautiful pool area, attentive staff, good casino area, relaxing, clean, good sized room, close to mgm and excalibur
Paint was peeling in bathtub
The pool area was nice. Location was great, right next to MGM, New York New York, and Excalibur. All are easily accessible using the catwalks. Also, very close to airport. Bed was comfortable. Maids did a great job of keeping the room tidy each day during the week we stayed there. The area around the hotel seems safe.
The Casino area had a constant thick smell of cigarette smoke. It was the worst smelling of all the Casinos we visited. I know smoking is commonplace in a Casino, but this was awful. The ventilation needs work there. We never gambled there because of this. We just went to the other Casinos near by, which smelled much better. On the other hand, the hotel area didn't smell like smoke thank goodness.
The staff were all very helpful and kind.
Our bathtub was leaking, had to move to a new room, new room also had plumbing issues, bathtub got clogged, needed to call engineering, he did manage to fix it after an hour, the tub was a mess as you can imagine, he called housekeeping for them to come and clean up, I left my room returned later that evening only to find that housekeeping never came to clean the bathtub, I had other little issue.
First of all, I didn,t get the room I requested for. i got a text that it was ready but when we got there, we had to wait for the following day to get the room. The room smelled like cigaret smoke. There was no hot water in the morning of our last day and most, if not all of us who attended the convention didn't take a shower. housekeeping never cleaned our room. They would come while we were sleeping but never came even if they saw us leave the room. The swimming pool didn't look like the picture at all. it would be a shame to recommend this hotel to anybody.
Rooms were well appointed with high end bedding, marble in bathroom, and an excellent tub! Very relaxing for us. We were on the airport side but we had no trouble sleeping! Very comfortable mattresses! Would go back again!
Very bright and well lit.
The food court is not really a food court one pace to eat and the meal was terrible.
location of room to my business convention, price I got the room for, getting into my room earlier than allowed, ease of getting a cab
noise - both airport noise and ambulance noise at all hours of the night.
Close to new York and mgm
Dingy. Not very friendly.
