Pros:Asiana is a good airlines. But my flight was crowded with unruly Hindu and Sikh families. Their demands and uncivilized behavior made it unpleasant for me and for the hardworking Asiana flight attendants. Flights departing from the US are much better because the passengers are better behaved. But the behavior of large loads of incoming immigrants are generally deplorable. This is especially intense in coach.

Pros:The airplane was quite new and felt comfortable. The food was delicious and hot. The attendants were helpful and attentive to our needs.
Cons:I wasn’t aware of the $70 (!!!) charge for a second item of checked luggage. In addition to the unanticipated cost, it was a real hassle to pay. The MIAT agent at the ticket counter could not accept payment and I had to leave my passport with her as I waited across the terminal on a different line to pay. Then I had to bring my receipt back to the attendant to get my passport. Now that I know, I would try to find a different airline to fly.

Pros:The crew was kind, the planes were new and comfy and the food was amazing (for Airline food) on a 3!hour flight. I will absolutely fly them again!
Cons:There was no entertainment really, but that is easily delt with in today's tech age. Also not being able to get tickets ahead of time and the ticket counter at ICN was a HUGE pain, but it was fine I the UlaanBaater side. It would be great to have an e-ticket option for those people not checking bags.?

Cons:This flight was operated by MIAT. I have never been on a plane with such cramped seats. If the person in front tipped their seat back it was almost touching your nose! Nothing on screen for 4 and a half hours and the AC barely functioned, so with a full plane it became unbearably hot!

Aircraft used was a 10 year old 767 which is being maintained in excellent condition. Business class was very comfortable and reclined sufficiently to allow me to sleep. The crew were excellent and very attentive. The only two unfortunates were a) food quality, the beef was very tough and below the standard for business class service; and b) the onboard entertainment offered little for non-Mongolians. All around, I would gladly fly MIAT again.
