The hotel is a very nice hotel. The pool and hot tub are nice. Great location next to the lake the river downtown. Easy walking to shops, restaurants and hiking trails. The hotel does need some love though. The facilities could all be cleaner and probably need updating. Also, the "breakfast", was horrible -- box cereal, toast, yogurt. Coffee was OK. I did not eat breakfast at the hotel.

Pros (+) I liked everything about this property. Location was gorgeous on the marina. Staff was extra, extra friendly, especially the breakfast lady. She was taking care of the guests like Flo from Mel's diner...everyone loves that personal touch.

Pros (+) We arrived very late at night with a couple special needs and every staff member we interacted was very pleasant and helpful. Really enjoyed the breakfast room and patio.

Pros (+) Baymont lower me a late check-out time after a late night in Manitowoc. Rooms were very quiet and very clean. Cucumber water was a nice touch. Friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. I have stayed here before and will again. Very close to the Maritime museum, sub, and Berensten's. Great fish fry and cheese curds Shooters Malone's.
Cons (-) The room I had overlooked the pool and had a slight chlorine smell.
