The hotel is quite good. Rooms are clean, big enough and comfortable. The swiming pool is great. Although we were four people, they constantly gave us only three towels. And after leaving the hotel we realized that they charged more than $300 in our card! We spoke with them and it was a mistake, but we are still waiting for them to do the reimbursement.
When we got there the staff was very helpful. We were unsure as to what to do on our honeymoon and they explained tours and hot spots and how to use the trolly system. We had a great time and can't wait to go again. I would stay there again.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. Closeness to the Superdome
The beds didn't feel like pillow top mattresses when you sat on them and wifi isn't the best.Overall I was very pleased with this hotel. My main need was a place to sleep after a concert and comfortable walking distance to the Superdome. Both of those needs were met.
The view of the city.. The price was great
Yes the bathroom needs updating

The giant foyer amplifies noise.
Clean and comfortable
There was horrible construction that made it difficult to access the hotel (not at all their fault). The issue is that when I called the hotel to ask how we could even get there through the construction they had no idea. I was transferred multiple times and told to just "turn down common", and when I tried to explain that I had already tried this and there was a cop blocking off the street for the construction they started talking to me like I was a moron. They told me "we know that, he is letting people through so you need to try again". I circled back around and tried to see if the cop knew anything. Anyone could see the entire road was fenced off and clearly there was zero way to get though. The cop just started screaming at me that the hotel should know what to do ( joys of Nola I guess) and I called the hotel back once again to try and figure out how to get there. They basically had no idea and transferred me four times just to stop talking to me. Finally my brother had to get out of the car and walk around himself to find us a way there. I tried to express my frustration to the front desk and it fell on completely deaf ears. Your job is to get people to your hotel, and not a single person knew how to do that. Obviously other people had checked in that day and they got there somehow so clearly it wasn't impossible. The entire ordeal was extremely stressful ( Saturday traffic in Nola), and really put a damper on our stay there. Then at check out they attempted to charge my card for the room. I explained I had already paid for the room, and once again they treated me like a moron and said "no you didn't they just put the card on hold" and they charged my card anyways. I was pretty much pissed at this point, and I was showing them my emailed receipt and credit card charge. A manager came out and said no you haven't paid the card was just on hold, and after showing them again that I had actually paid ( not a single person even looked at my account btw, they just assumed I was wrong and kept telling me so) they finally looked up my account and saw that I had indeed paid. They gave me a refund for the double charge, but were snippy about it. No apology just oh okay I guess ill refund it. I literally will never stay here again. It's a shame because it was a nice hotel in a decent location.

My husband and I enjoyed a 5 day stay at The Roosevelt. I have only one word to describe the hotel......EXCELLENT!!!
I loved it 50 years ago, but it went down when the Fairmont group bought it. Now that the Waldorf has taken over, it has been restored to its old elegance. Great food, great bar, and great staff.

I found everything to be nicely done. It's right where you want to be to get out and see NOLA. I'd recommend to friends.
No bathtub is the only thing I can think of that I can complain about. Shower was excellent though.
I liked the location.
I didn't like the alarm coming from next door that went off at 8 am every morning. Wasn't able to have a good nights sleep

The entire staff was very helpful.
Trying to get to the hotel was a nightmare as they were working on the street and it was closed. We circled the blocks several times to find the entrance and the cop was no help what so ever. We were let out by the cab two blocks away because we could not find the way in. I found it very odd that the check in was on the 11th floor. They were very nice and very apologetic upon our arrival. The view was from our window was just like the Travelocity commercial as it was just looking at interior windows and down a shaft. The bed was a lot to be desired as it was very uncomfortable. I had to go to the 11th floor 4 times as my key did not work so it would not let me go to my 15th floor. This was just inconvenient.
The location was great.
