Car Rental

For those interested in renting a car, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, and National desks or courtesy telephones are available at the arrival areas of each terminal. To get to the rental offices, hop on a courtesy shuttle which will pick up customers outside the baggage claim areas of each terminal.

Public/Ground Transfer

To arrange ground transportation, go to the counters at the baggage claim and arrival areas, which are located in all the terminals. There are many options for transportation to all areas of Manhattan. To Midtown, East Side, and West Side, try the New York Airport Service Express Bus (718-875-8200), or the SuperShuttle and Airlink, shared rides which can take you anywhere from Battery Park to 227th Street, as well as Queens, Brookly, the Bronx, and Staten Island. For public transport, take the M60 to Manhattan and the Q33 and Q47 to Queens which run from 4:50 a.m. to 1 a.m. To get to Grand Central Station and Penn Station in Manhattan, try the New York Airport Express Bus, which runs hourly to these two train stations.

Airport Shuttles

To travel between Parking Lots and Terminals, take Route A which runs between all terminals or Route B which runs between all terminals except for Marine Air Terminal / Delta Shuttle. Shuttles are complimentary and run every ten to fifteen minutes between 4 a.m. and 2 a.m.

Limousine Services

For those who prefer to travel in luxury, there are a variety of limousine services available for a variety of prices depending on your destination and what kind of ride you prefer. Cityline Limousine (718-205-4254), New York Airport Limousine Service (516-889-4469), AAA Limos (516-897-7605), and NY LimoCoach Limousine (800-447-1955), will take you anywhere around New York City and the surrounding areas.

Taxi Services

For taxi service, run over to one of the official taxi stands which are open 24 hours in front every terminal. The ride to Manhattan takes about thirty or forty minutes, although it may significantly longer during rush hour. Expect to pay anywhere from $20 to $40 plus tolls and tip.
