Pros:The location is excellent and the exterior of the building is beautiful
Cons:We were housed outside of the main hotel in a wing built in the 1980s that smelled like old fast food. The pool was not working, the hot tub had earwigs floating in it. The carpeting in the pool area smelled terrible. The ice machine was covered in dust and grime. This wing of the hotel needs a deep cleaning

Pros:The location was great, and the staff was very friendly. Good list of amenities...when available. Awesome unexpected discount for “going green” by skipping out on daily room cleanings. Plenty of on street parking, so skip out on their valet services!
Cons:Paper thin walls to the point you could hear conversations in other rooms. Beware of party functions on the main level! First night there there was a Christmas party. When I asked the front desk what time it ended (we were on the 3rd floor and could hear the music so loud it was like a concert) they stated it ended at 10. I gave up on a quite night by 10:30. The bed in the room was a full when the website stated it should have been a queen. Had to pay the full amount in “resort fees” even though some of the amenities applicable to our stay (Friday-Sunday) were unavailable/cancelled. Lastly, keep in mind there’s no fridge in the room which stunk to find out coming back with leftovers. My fault for not realizing that while reading what was included with the room.

Pros:Apparently the pricepoint, thanks to Kayak Presents well.
Cons:Otherwise, it would have been over $300 plus for a rather small room and small bathroom. The valet will tell you thats your only parking option that costs, but not true. Miscellaneous fees can add up. So many more options to stay in Newport.

Pros:When we got there they had s’mores outside at fire tables and a poolside ice cream social. The valet parking was only $20. Because they had to switch our room they upgraded us and waved the resort fee. There was plenty of staff and they were wonderful. The hotel was clean and updated.

Pros:The location is nice and the building is charming and beautiful.
Cons:The front desk staff was very snooty. My husband and I tried multiple times to use the pool and/or hot tub but were unable to because there was no room. Every time we checked, it was packed full with screaming children jumping in and splashing those in the hot tub.

Cons:Sneaky hidden "resort" fee. This is NOT a resort. If you're going to tack on an extra $50 at check out that you hid from your fees then you need to have much nicer facilities. The workout room was small. The pool had carpet around it and was too cold to use. The beds were VERY creaky and could be heard all night long when the people upstairs got out of bed to use the restroom etc. the rooms were clean enough, not super, but I wouldn't put my baby in that bathtub that's for sure.

Cons:Seems that the luxury only goes to the higher end rooms and more public places. The public bathroom in the hotel was 3 times more amazing than the one in our room.

Pros:Location was great, close to shopping and Downtown.
Cons:Requested a king size bed, but got a queen sized bed. There were only 2 queen rooms, and we got one b/c of our length of stay?? Sink did not drain the first day, but was fixed. There was no electrical outlet in the bathroom, had to use the hairdryer out in the bedroom, but had to plug it in under the desk, so I was not able to stand and dry my hair. Wallpaper in the bathroom was lifting. The bed was not comfortable. Advertised that there were pillow top mattresses, ours was definitely not a pillow top and it was quite flat. There was no refrigerator in the room, coffee maker was old and outdated. I have been in far cheaper rooms that provided a keurig and nicer coffee provisions. Powdered creamer in a packet was gross. Overall, it was fairly disappointing for the $500.00 per night rate.
