While Park City is no longer a silver-filled miner's dream, the town is indeed full of gems. Whether you come in the summer or the winter, you'll find a ton to do in this affluent resort town. In addition to housing three major ski resorts, Park City also hosts the annual Sundance Film Festival and offers a wide variety of seasonal and year-round activities. In the winter, visitors flock to the slopes and beyond to enjoy pastimes like hot-air ballooning, skiing, tubing, snow-shoeing and fly-fishing. Even Olympic athletes know Park City is the premiere spot for snowboarding the 2002 events were held here. The summer weather invites biking, hiking, horseback riding, sliding on Alpine Slide and of course a dash of culture through concerts in the park, art and music festivals and symphonies. Take some time to explore historic Main Street which houses a collection of shops and galleries. Shop like the stars and you just might see one, whether its Sundance week or not.
