Le Vele Resort was perfect for what we needed, which was some rest and relaxation. The hotel building is simple and modern, the location is excellent (the beach is wonderful) and the room was beautiful and furnished appropriately. Biggest complaint- we could hear our neighbors word for word. It is hard to have a relaxing vacation when you are woken up at six am every morning by the neighbors. The queen bed is two single beds stuck together. We were suppose to have a dvd player and didn't. Our phone didn't work to make outside calls. Our jacuzzi didn't work. There are a lot of hotels in Turks and I would recommend staying somewhere else on the island. For the price and just in general, it was definitely overrated! ... more

We spent a week at the Carib Club. Our room was not in the main building shown on the hotel website. Instead we were in a small house next door in a first floor unit. We were the only people staying in the entire complex so we felt uncomfortable knowing that nobody else was nearby. The parking area is not lit at night so it is very dark coming back in the evening. We also did not have hot water for the first two days until we restarted the hot water tank ourselves. The office is only staffed part time and the hours vary, so its likely you won't be able to get help if you need it. The large building seen on the website is currently being renovated. This is not indicated anywhere when you book the hotel. ... more

Well, I will start with the pros and move on to the cons. It is clean, comfortable and quiet. Internet & Wi-fi always available. I was here 5 days & only saw the staff 1 time which was fine by me. There are ducks, flamingo & golf watching right off the deck. Bathroom is very roomey & clean. The bed was awesomely comfortable!!! Toilet paper & soap were supplied (which if you have stayed down here before you'll know this is sometimes a problem, nothing like getting in from a 15 hour plane trip to find that you have to go buy TP) Now for the cons, the Kitchenette is servicable but not quite a full kitchenette. My room was on the 2nd floor, I weigh 100 pds. & my bag weighs 45...there is a very small spiral staircase in which 1 has to hoist bag upstairs, comical at best; I would recommend lower level if this is you. Lastly, hot water for the shower would have been wonderful!! To be fair, we had a huge storm the day before but 2 times w/o hot water was a little brrrrr..... However, for the c... ... more

Parrot Cay is a world-class beachfront resort with excellent service and numerous outdoor activities.  The breakfast is phenomenal.  The food is very good, but pricey, so I recommend bringing some of your own snacks, soft drinks, and duty-free wine to the island.  We left Parrot Cay feeling refreshed and relaxed.  I highly recommend this resort in the Turks and Caicos Islands.  ... more

Parrot Cay has planted a lot of new foliage in the past five years, and in spite of regular spraying cannot seem to overcome the mosquito population. My wife and I are savvy travelers; we have taken many trips to the Carribean in years past. Never have we encountered such a problem at an otherwise high end resort. We received 30 mosquito bites, both while outside and inside our villa, in the course of our first afternoon on the resort. We came from three nights on another island in the Turks and Caicos chain and did not see a single mosquito on this other island. After the rain, and at night, mosquitos can be a problem on most islands, but what was so odd about this was that it was not raining - and all the bites occured before sundown. Parents with youg kids beware. No matter how nice the staff are about the fact you have bites, you'll be itching - and they'll be taking your money...Money you could have spent somewhere comparable, but without a mosquito problem. They leave a huge can ... ... more

I was a bit disappointed in the ocean view as our hotel room located on the second floor was obstructed by the restaurants. Additionally, quite a bit of noise emanates from these facilities until about 10 p.m. This is not a tranquil spot although it is beautiful. The hotel staff are eager to please and everyone greets you with a smile and a hello. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a variety of items for any traveler. The restaurants were friendly and the food was excellent. The room we booked was a one bedroom suite which would not have been adequate for three people as the living room did not have a rollout bed and would have required an additional bed. The hotel gave us an additional room which made our stay very pleasant indeed. The hotel manager and assistant manager were always seeking feedback from guests. Minor annoyances include shortages of toilet paper and toiletries which are provided when you inquire about them. The maids clean the rooms quickly and expertly and the tu... ... more

The hotel was very nice and on a beautiful beach. It was very clean, and the staff was obviously well trained. They were very accommodating. If I had any complaint, it was that our room directly faced the kitchen, and we heard a lot of early morning noise. My family and I stayed at the Atrium resort recently and we had a wonderful time. While I would have loved it if there were more conveniences available, I don't think it deterred from our vacation at all. Just remember that food is incredibly expensive in the Turks and Caicos so factor that into your vacation plans. The staff was friendly and the swimming pool was AMAZING. My daughter basically camped out in the pool for seven days. You will definitely need a car here but I think that's true at most places in the Turks and Caicos. The beach is a about an 8 minute walk but get there early or all the chairs will be taken. And, as an FYI, allow double the amount of time at the airport than you'll think you need. It took us almost 2 hours just to get through the 200+ people security line. That part was awful but we'll definitely be going back to the Turks and Caicos despite the atrocious airport experience. And we'd definitely stay at the Atrium our next time as well. ... more

Loved the Sands Hotel. Fantastic staff. Great location - within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Nice to have Hemmingway's restaurant on the property if you don't feel like going out. The Sands is on a beautiful, clean, white sand beach with turquoise water. Lots of beach chairs, umbrellas, towels and sports equipment for guests. We recommend renting a car for a couple days to see more of the island and other beaches. Didn't have enough time to check out the other islands, but will when we return the next time. Would definitely book this hotel again. ... more

This place is excellent! We were there from September 10-17 2013. We did our research on the Sands at Grace Bay and found everything up to par. You might see bad reviews about this place, well don't believe them. There is not a bad thing to say about the Sands. From the moment we arrive till we left the people there treated us like royalty. The personal at the front desk took care of us let us look at the room to deciding if that was the one we wanted. The rooms are big we stayed in the ocean view suite and had a great view of the beach. The full kitchen makes the stay wonderful. Everything on Provo in expensive but well worth it. There are two grocery stores to go to. The resort has shuttle transportation to the store you can take for a small fee. There are bikes at the resort that one can get to sight-see or you can rent a car. I would encourage you rent a small car for a few days to tour the island. Car rental runs about 45 dollars a day. The beaches are so beautiful and sand is ver... ... more

Good: Beaches are immaculate, pristine and lovely. Rooms are fabulous and quite New York ish... Bad: Rooms are New York ish.. let me clarify that.. as a new yorker i felt like i travelled down there and found myself in a tropical version of a New York Lounge. This may not be a bad thing to some, but the constant thumping disco beat [from about 9am till midnight] really wore my wife and i down. The internet is sparse. The restaurant on premises is good but totally overpriced for what you get. The service is really not up to par yet with other equal places. But overall.. I would go back having heard that these issues were both worked out. ... more

It was our last night. Halloween - October 31, 2009. The moon was nearly full. My girlfriend Missy's birthday was the next day November 1st, but that was our day of departure, so we were celebrating it the night before. We arrived at the hotel's Bagatelle Restaurant at 7pm and to Missy's surprise we were escorted to the beach. With torches lining our path we were led to a table on the beach with one of those half moon love seats off to the side. With our feet playing in the warm sand, champagne toasts throughout and J setting the stage as our waiter extraordinaire the evening played out perfectly. The Bagatelle salad which Missy said was the best salad she ever had and a lobster tail with the essence of spectacular spices to match, the dinner was as good as good can be. The restaurant staff of 8 came out signing happy birthday and presented Missy with a classic birthday cake. They left, and we asked J our waiter to pull up a chair and have some cake with us. So there we were, Me, Miss ... ... more

Just got back from a quick 3 night stay at beaches. Took my 15 year old daughter. Resort was very nice. It is a very large resort but since it is segmented into different themes it is not overwhelming. All of the villages are kind of self contained with pools, bars and restaurants you can walk to all. We stayed in the Italian village in a family suit. It was overlooking the ocean so the view was very good. In the suit, there is a small room with bunk beds and a pullout. Also has a sink. Perfect for kids. Master has a large king size bed and pullout sofa. Refrige was stocked with juice, soda, water, beer, wine, and champagne. Refilled every day. The staff was helpful and pleasant. Ate at Schooners, Soy, and the Barefoot restaurant. All were good. We ate breakfast at Mario's--buffet was very good. Beach was very nice. Water is beautiful. Snorkeling right out front is not great because there is no coral. You will see some fish but walk down the beach to the coral gardens . It is about 1 k... ... more

Just returned Sun. from OCW. Had a wonderful time ! Hotel rooms, & grounds-super clean, well maintained. Had a junior suite, which was plenty big enough for 2 people, with a kitchen, small living area, king bed, large bathroom, and screened in porch, which we loved ! Had a top floor room with a beautiful view. The beach is gorgeous !! We were in Turks in Dec (4 months ago) for my 50th B-Day and stayed at LeVele. LeVele is very nice, but OCW is much closer to restaurants, shops, awesome Caicos French Bakery, etc. Rented a car in Dec., no need this time. Walked everywhere. Hotel pretty busy, as it was still spring break. Kids never too loud, or obnoxious, as parents watched them very well. Got food at store for AM meals, snacks, drinks. Lunch OCW-great. ... more

At KAYAK we don’t set prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.
