Lovely boutique hotel. Friendly helpful staff and great location.
Lack of air conditioning in all rooms is a big minus in the hot weather although I understand they plan to install it in the rooms without it shortly. Lack of onsite parking.
Its European charm and location!
The room's interior/decor was a bit out dated.
Great hideaway in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the Rittenhouse area.
I liked everything
The friendly & accommodating staff was by far the best part of this hotel. Everyone was very nice & attentive. Especially the front desk staff.
They spray a perfume or room scent in each room which can be over powering. They were able to air out my room, but I did have to sleep with all the windows open to the street below. The decor is a little dated but clean & presentable.
Quiet and elegant. No hassles when you check in with 40 staff trying to help you with your money. My room was a nice accomodation with marble, seperate rooms, nice bed and pillows, and a lot of antiques or distrssed furniture.
The staff. They are friendly and the service is excellent.
My credit card was charged the evening before my visit and they attempted to void the transaction without my knowledge. They were caught because when I arrived the card was charged again but the bank declined.....completely unacceptable.
location, size, charm
room hot, stuffy and small. free breakfast meager have to pay for eggs. no privacy, noisy and general not a good experiece.
room small, hot, stuffy furniture old and bed too soft no control of air conditioner no privacy- 24 hour surveillance
I am in love with place. I recevied nothing but warm and professional service from everyone at that hotel. To be honest, I hestitate to write such a stellar review because I don't want this place to become too popular becuase the next time I am in Philly, I don't want this place to be fully booked!!!
From the staff to the room to the location, this charming hotel was the perfect weekend retreat in the heart of Philadelphia.
The tone was set the minute we entered--the staff made us feel as if we were the most welcome guests in the world. The hotel is beautiful--like a country inn in the big city. Big bedroom, spacious bath, working gas fireplace, interesting books on the bookshelves. The location can't be beat--great restaurants right around the corner and a short walk to Kimmel Center. A parking lot is just across the street. As a bonus, we got to meet other interesting guests when free wine was served in the evening. We just loved it.
This little boutique hotel is so quaint and charming! The staff is phenomonal and very helpful! It is tucked away in the historical part of Philly so it is close to downtown and all the things you want to see while staying in Philly.
Lovely boutique hotel in a terrific part of the city. The staff was wonderful, even letting me park in an employee space for an hour til I had to depart for a meeting to avoid very expensive parking lot fees. Always smiling and helpful team!
Truly enjoyed this hotel, the staff was wonderful, I actually booked this hotel by mistake. This was a great experience and I would stay there again in a heartbeat! Nice wine reception, great little cafe for tea or breakfast. Very helpful staff, wonderful!
