Originally built as a private residence in 1722, the house was bought after the Second World War by Philippe Tallien, an antique dealer and a former dancer in The Monte Carlo Ballet. He transformed it into a hotel which was called The Aioli. The hotel became a fashionable and artistic place in St Tropez, and was frequented by Hollywood regulars such as Orson Wells, Tyrone Power, Greta Garbo, Rita Hayworth, and Prince Ali Khan...The Aioli became Yaca in 1968. Since 1980, Jacques Huret´s family has been the owner of the establishment. The hotel is headed by François and Laetitia Huret. In June 2003, the hotel was expanded with the affiliation of Y hotel (the former ‘Hotel of the Citadel’), which has been completely renovated and is situated 50 meters from the Yaca in Avenue Paul Signac.
