This inn won the award for 2004,2005, 2007, and 2008 as the most romantic inn. An elegant and warm inn. The house in the 1950's was a museum for the Daughters of the Confederacy. Stay with us and see the meaning of true Southern hospitality. It took us eleven years to restore to it's orginial splender. No detail was left out of restoration from importing crystal chandeliers, mahogany doors, and beautiful wood and marble floors. Ballroom has 12'10''ceilings . All guest rooms have a 42 inch plasma tv after all you deserve the best. All guest rooms have a spacious private bath with a seperate tub and walkin shower and hair dryer. Each morning we do a hot cooked breakfast prepared by a chief with 30 years experince and a second dining room table is set 24 hours a day with freshly baked in house, cakes, cookies, and various types of breads. Chief does share some receies. Bottled water and refergerator are provided for guests. There is a private parking lot behind the house. We feel very strongly about the guest privacy is a high priorty and at no time is any information given out.The inn is within walking distance to antique shops,house museums,civil war memorials, beautiful old church, and fine retraunts.The Confederatehouse has everything to make your trip relaxing and magical.
