Built in 1883 for Stillwater's first Jeweler, the Elephant Walk is today a jewel box of antiquities and collectibles from all over the world. The stick style Victorian has been lovingly restored by Rita and Jon Graybill following their return from Bangkok, Thailand.
The Graybill's collections from over twenty years diplomatic service are displayed throughout the Elephant Walk and includes antiques from Europe, the Far East and America. The home is graced by two parlors on the first floor, one with a large fireplace. A wrap around front porch provides casual dining and a quiet place to unwind on the porch swing and accompanying peacock chairs. A large, more formal dining room is the site of Rita's sumptuous (four course) breakfasts, and is guarded by an antique Burmese dragon. Complimentary champagne, wine or alcohol-free beverages are served in the evening along with cheese and home made crackers.
The Elephant Walk is truly a unique and exotic bed and breakfast. Full of fascinating objects and surrounded by beautiful water and flower gardens. The Elephant Walk offers both quiet places t o rest and unwind and common guest parlors where new and interesting friendships are made. Your stay at the Elephant Walk will be a most memorable occasion.
