Glenview is a large Victorian house built at the end of the century and has been a guest house for over 50 years. All the bedrooms overlook our garden and Underhill Park which is bordered by woods. We have a baby grand piano which guests are able to play,and a comfy lounge with an open fire for chilly days. We serve an excellent breakfast using the best available local ingredients,free range eggs,fresh fruit home made bread,and plenty of choice for vegetarians.Special diets can be catered for,with a bit of notice.Our local speciality of laverbread [seaweed] and cockles are also available,as is smoked salmon and smoked haddock,again to pre order.We have free parking for 1 car per room,and plenty of parking nearby for early departures and extra cars,and secure accommodation for bicycles and water sport gear. The rooms are extremely comfortable with,freeview t.v tea and coffee making facilities,most have fridges.All the rooms have en suite bathrooms and there are ground floor rooms available. Well behaved children are welcome, likewise dogs (by arrangement) and we are close to the beaches and our lovely village. Public transport is excellent. The bus stop for the village of Mumbles and Swansea is 25yards from Glenview.A 5 minute walk takes you to the cliff path which runs along the coast into Swansea and beyond, and in the other direction towards the western tip of the Gower Peninsula,a challenging whole day walk away. The Sustrans cycle route follows a path towards Llanelli in one direction, and towards the Swansea Valley in the other.A more challenging course for off road cycling is in the Afan Forest.There are several surf schools and board hire nearby,and other watersport and sailing schools.The surfing is generally excellent,particularly in the winter monthsWe have a drying room for outdoor gear, and also a [chargeable] laundry service.We can also store cycles,surfboards etc inside.The Village of Mumbles is a short walk awayHotel Rating: Self Assessed 4 star
