The town is wonderful and vibrant with a whole host of things to do and a brilliant atmosphere. If you truly want to get an idea of South African daily life, this city is your best bet. The people are kind and welcoming, and most strangers will freely talk with you for hours, if given the chance. This city is also known as the “City of Roses†because of the 4,000 rose trees planted through Kings Park, a park opened by Prince of Whales in 1925.
