The small town of Forks sits on the western edge of the enormous Olympic National Park in western Washington State. Several areas inside of the park receive more annual rainfall than any other area in the continental United States, and therefore the fauna and wildlife in this part of the state take on different, unique characteristics; lush vegetation and towering trees burst from every mountain and valley. Forks is one of the only areas of commerce in the area and so travelers will find in the small rural town a good selection of lodgings and dining venues. Trails and water activities abound in this green land, and those not afraid of water on the ground or from above will see splendor and life and variety that is unique, that exists nowhere else.
