Our 'Mas'is a modern villa with 5 bedrooms for our guests. Our location, overlooking the village, is quiet and peaceful - you can almost hear the grass growing! We can admire the 9000-foot (3000m) Canigou mountain and Pyrenean foothills and the sea from our house and garden. We are close to Spain (Gerona, Barcelona - Dali and Gaudi); to Carcassonne, a unique fortified medieval town; the Pyrenees mountain range; to castles and churches; to sandy beaches and rocky coves - and to much, much more.The history of our region goes back millenia. Here, we have Roman, arab and Christian history. The Cathares' last stand against the Pope (the year 1350, or therabouts) was here. We speak English and French (Martine is French, Martin is British).Double rooms open onto the garden and pool, have television and Wi-fi connection and aircon. Table d'hôtes (evening meal of fish or meat - and local wine and aperatifs) can also be provided - and there is a BBQ area for guests' use.The spring, summer and autumn are for being outside - so bedchairs, hammocks etc are available for adults. All children and babies needs are catered for too (the pool, of course, but also cot, high chair, carseat for the smallest; games etc). The large pool and the Jacuzzi are to amuse the children, but also for adults to relax after a day out and about.Amenities close by include: mountain biking and trekking, horseriding, scuba diving, water and wildlife parks; plus lots of 'history' - museums, art galleries, churches, castles.... - our brochures describe them all, so we can help you to plan your adventures.Never has the expression, Have a nice day! been so easy to fulfill!
