Cheapest in town. easy to get to.
Traffic noise. dirty carpetThis motel is not for the meek! if you are a slight bit of a princess, or don't care to know exactly what other people spilled on the carpets before you, pay more and get the nice hotel that you deserve! If all you care about is spending as little as possible for a nights' sleep- this is the place for you, but make sure to ask for a room that faces away from the highway, otherwise, sleep WILL NOT happen! They should put 'new vacuum cleaner' on their Christmas wish list. Maybe New carpet altogether. and if we are already on a roll, new towels too... However- sheets and bathroom were clean. Its was OK but I know that some of you will find it unacceptable.... we laughed... oh well what do you expect for XXX dollars in Vail CO....
There is not one thing to like about The Roost. Just an awful place.
There is space here to tell you how awful the hotel is!!Dirty, dated and noisey. The Roost offers all of this up to you plus as an added bonus...no air conditioning! What more could you ask for? How about the worst bed ever placed in a hotel. But hey it is cheap and you are technically in Vail. So enjoy!I booked it for 3 nights but left after one! You would be better off in a tent!!
Cheap price. Great location
No A/C and no screens on the windows.I will no longer stay at this hotel for the tough mudder. It is well worth it to pay a little more money for a lot more comfort.
Staff was very unhelpful and seemed to be bothered with helping us and others check into their hotel. There was no A/C in the room so it get hots.I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, staff was very unpleasant and the room was dirty, location was good but overall you are better off sleeping in your car or truck instead of spending a dollar on this property. It is very much like a hostel.
The staff was helpful for bus information and allowed us to keep our car park there until the end of our ski day, way past check out. There were some nice Toms deodorant, EmergenC, etc samples in the room. Clean bathroom & linens.
It was really outdated. The carpet & comforters looked like they were from the 1970s. Breakfast was subpar.I-70 can be heard throughout the night. If you have a car & trying to stay near Vail for cheap, stay in Frisco, CO.
Good location for the price. Quick walk to the ski shuttle. It took maybe 10 minutes to get to Vail Village.
Walls are paper thin,We were woke up at 5:30 am to people walking around upstairs and it sounded like they were going to come through the ceiling.By far the cheapest place to stay in Vail. I will not stay here again. After a long day of boarding, I want to relax somewhere comfortable. My boyfriend said the hot tub didn't look appealing. If you are in your early 20's and just want a place to 'pass out', I guess this is your place! You may have to be semi-unconscious to appreciate this place.
