Welcome to Ingrid’s Bed & Breakfast at Wedel, situated 17 km (11 miles) west of downtown Hamburg, directly at the river Elbe. In our charming old town house we offer 2 spacious and comfortable accommodations, renovated and individually decorated with lots of love, both with completely new ensuite bathrooms (in 2010).Suite ‘New York’ features a cosy sitting area with pull-out sofa and can thus host up to 4 people. Apartment ‘Borkum’ offers a twin bedroom with two 2 x 1 m beds and an extra living room with kitchenette for selfcatering. Breakfast is included in room rate, also coffee making facilities and free mineral water; towels, bed-linen, toiletries, hairdryer, cable TV and free WiFi internet access in both rooms. The location of our B&B makes it an excellent place from which to explore the hot spots of Hamburg (45 minutes by suburban train to Hamburg central station), but Wedel itself also offers several tourist attractions: for example the famous “Welcome Point “ where all ships entering and leaving the Port of Hamburg are greeted with their national hymn, the sandy beaches, the Hamburg Yachting Club, the beautiful dike and walkways through the marshland, the fruit-growing area ‘Altes Land’ just opposite to Wedel at the other bank of the Elbe.
