I really liked the room set up. It gave us space for our family to spread out and allowed my husband and me the ability to stay up after the kids fell asleep without worrying about waking them. The room was very clean and the staff very friendly.

Although the breakfast area was clean and had a variety of items to choose from, the eggs were terrible. That this is my only complaint should show what a comfortable stay we had!

While further from the city than we wanted this was a GREAT HOTEL stay. Everything was perfect, top to bottom, even with half a million small hockey players staying on the next floor.

It was distant for us, but not that hard to reach and plenty of good shopping and resources nearby

The most efficient and well thought out hotel I've used in this price range.

The room was amazing! Best price, location, and comfort. Has free parking for hotel guests which is amazing since most parking in Pittsburgh is valet or pay to park. Since you have free parking you can walk anywhere in downtown- amazing! Great staff! I had to check in earlier to get ready for my cousin's wedding and they were very accommodating. I haven't stayed in this nice of a hotel and great price, during Labor Day weekend mind you, in a very long time. Also they have a small market in the hotel and complimentary coffee all day! Good coffee with options.

The only thing I didn't like was the breakfast but it was included and had basic breakfast options.

My family and I stayed at this hotel over Thanksgiving Week 2012. As a immediate past diamond member of hilton honors, I don't know how Hilton management has allowed this hotel to stay within the group. Whatever remodeling was done was insuffient. Our refrigerator wasn't working properly and it was changed out for another poorly operating one; the bed was terrible; and staff were pleasant, but unresponsive to your needs. The sirens from the fire station a half block away occurred daily and of course at night, certainly nothing to do with the hotel, except why did Hilton purchase this property. Totally out of character for a Hilton property and I've stayed with the Hilton brand nationally and internationally.

With only a few waking hours of actual hotel exposure the hotel provided everything we needed for our very short stay. The only oddity was that the adjustable firmness controls for the Queen sized beds did not work for either bed. The bed comfort could have been much better. However, even with the beds not working to their full potential the bed was still more comfortable that what some other hotel chains currently offer. We did not have enough time to sample any of the other hotel amenities, like the resturant or fitness center. The room amenities were a notch or two above most standard hotels offer and the mini fridge & microwave came in handy.

The Hampton Inn is a good hotel. The rooms are clean and the sheets are soft. They were very nice to my dog. I will definitely be going here again the next time I'm in Pittsburgh.

I wasn't aware that I was being charged for parking until I got the bill. The breakfast isn't great, but it's free so no real downside.

This hotel is expensive and I expected better. At first, I was impressed with the functionality and locationl of the hotel, and my room looked very nice. After dinner, I found six (!) cockroaches on the floor and on my bed.  I called the manager, who gave me a hard time. I won't be back. In hindsight, the hotel is dingy, so it isn't hard to imagine that the place isn't well kept up. Don't stay here!

This is a typical holiday inn. There were no problems with reservation. We needed a rollaway bed for one of the kids, which was quickly brought up to our room. There was a nice looking pool that my kids would have liked to check out, but alas we had no time as this was a very quick stop for us. On the plus side for the kids, this hotel was only about 15 minutes away from the Abby Lee Dance Studio. Oh Em Gee!

No pool, nothing fancy. Basic hotel room. Hotel needs some updating. It was clean though. If you just need a place to sleep and don't care about amenities, it's fine. The breakfast place behind the restaurant was decent. I didn't even bother checking out what the hotel offered for breakfast. Questionable security. Noisy at night.

It was in a great location

There is construction join on across the street (a new Hyatt) and one night we heard jackhammers going until at least 10 PM..we did not hear it again the other 2 nights that we stayed.. Oh, and you have to pay valet charge of $17 a night (no self parking

It was nice..fulfilled our expectations..

Courtyards are always decent, you know what you're getting.

PARKING! They only offer paid parking at $18/day, valet only. To save expenses, I street parked which isn't too difficult. But from 8 am to 6 pm, you pay on the street, too.

A nice neighborhood (Shadyside) in Pittsburgh, near to the nice area around Squirrel Hill, and near Oakland and the universities. Plenty of restaurant choices, but if you have business in Downtown Pittsburgh, you will be driving and parking again.

My wife & I were in town for a concert at the Benedum and this hotel was exactly what i was hoping to surprise her with for our anniversary. Within easy walking distance of both TenPenny restaurant and the venue, this elegant hotel provided another bit of ambience to our weeeknd. The piano playing in the lobby upon our return from dinner set the mood for the show, and the piano playing upon our return from the show was a nice night-cap. For the price, the proximity of this hotel to the cultural district is unbeatable. Our next evening in town will include the Omni William Penn Hotel.

Loved the beds! Very very comfortable. I heard more than a few people commenting on how well they slept! I didn't have to call room service for a thing! Enough towels, pillows, blankets, and everything worked! Nothing broken, nothing missing, quiet room, great view, housekeeping did a great job. Two different restaurants to dine in/even has a Brueggers in house. One restaurant was fine dining, the other an English Pub! We loved that we could bring our own cooler/or bottle of wine down into the lobby and hang out there. A lot of people did this. Just a pleasure as it's a beautiful old fashioned open lobby with big sofas and fluffy chairs, gorgeous chandeliers! Situated right in the heart of Pittsburgh! Not too far to walk to either stadium, right around the corner from the Consol for hockey and close to the bridge to walk over to Station Square. I would recommend this hotel to any adult couple/group travelling.

No pool/sauna or gym. Labor Day Parade made it difficult to get out or around the city when we were there but that has nothing to do with the hotel. Not a great hotel for children as no amenities geared towards them. Price was a bit high, even through Orbitz. I got an email from the hotel after I made my res through Kayak/Orbitz and they offered my same room for $99 per night instead of the $148 I paid (King standard room) but the hotel wouldn't accommodate the adjusted price as I had paid a third party (who by the way, paid them). Not convenient that I would need to call the third party and request that they adjust what they charged me. Hoping that Kayak/Orbitz will still adjust for me! I'll let you know!

Prices are average price per night of stay and may not include taxes and fees. "Total" includes our estimate of the taxes and fees. Please verify the total cost on the provider's site before you complete your reservation. Prices and availability are not guaranteed.

Here's why:

We’re not the seller
At KAYAK we don’t set prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.

We aggregate tonnes of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we don't guarantee prices we find.

Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car hires can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find on occasion that certain prices are no longer available.

More questions or if you have a bad price to report to us
Please send us an email and someone from our team will get back to you promptly.
