Located on a quiet tree lined street one block from busy Front Street, The Verandas guests have the best of being conveniently located downtown, but in a quiet residential neighborhood. Guests can relax on one of four verandas, or on the terrace overlooking the small, but colorful garden.Sophisticated public space is elegant, and grand, but never off-putting. Rooms are professionally decorated with wonderful colors, original artwork, and a comfortable blend of english and american furniture, all for the use and pleasure of our guests.Every attempt is made to spoil our guests, including providing a full gourmet breakfast in the morning. We feel that a bed and breakfast experience should include a special breakfast that one doesn't get everyday. French pressed coffee, gourmet tea, fruit course, entree, and breakfast meat are served on antique china, and silver underneath a beautiful chandelier in the dining room, or outside on the terrace. The goal of The Verandas is to provide affordable luxury. The mansion is 154 years old, but was totally gutted to the studding, and has truly been renovated to provide the ultimate comfort and safety features for our guests. While the Inn is decorated in beautiful fabrics, artwork, and furniture, we are not a museum, but an Inn for guests to enjoy.
