First, you need to download a new browser from somewhere. This is the hardest part, if you currently use IE. To start, you need to launch the Safari browser, which is Apple's new default browser that has replaced IE. Look in your applications folder for this icon:

OK, great, welcome back. Now, choose a browser. We recommend FireFox, because it is the second most popular browser in the world, and it is the overall most compatible browser in the world. It is also significantly better than the most popular browser in the world in terms of security.
Download FireFox: this should save a "dmg" file to your file download area. For most people, this is your desktop. Once the download completes, open that file. It will create a "disk" that looks something like this:

Another free browser that works with Kayak is opera. It is very fast, and has a small but loyal fan base.
