Steve Hafner, Co-Founder and Chief
Executive Officer. Steve drives Kayak strategy and
commercialization. (We also let him design some of the
product.) Steve was previously EVP of Consumer
Travel at Orbitz, Inc., which he helped found in November 1999.
Steve is captain of the Kayak water skiing team.
Paul English, Co-Founder and
Chief Technical Officer. Paul drives Kayak product
strategy, and also does hiring and fundraising
for Kayak. Paul was previously the VP of Technology at
Intuit, Inc. Paul's role at Intuit was created when
his e-commerce startup company, Boston Light Software, was acquired in
August of 1999.
Terry Jones, Chairman of the
Board. Terry was President and Chief Executive Officer of
Travelocity.com which he helped found in 1996. Terry also serves on
the board of Earthlink, Inc. and La Quinta, and he is a special
venture partner with General Catalyst Partners. Terry leads
Kayak's strategy for industry-wide positioning and directions.
Greg Slyngstad, Director. Greg
was Senior Vice President of Destinations and Lodging at Expedia.com,
which he helped found while at Microsoft. Greg has been
instrumental in driving Kayak's extreme customer focus.
Joel Cutler,
Director. Joel is a Managing Director at
General Catalyst Partners, a leading venture capital firm with
extensive software and travel investments, including National Leisure
Group. Joel is a cool dude, and Steve and Paul rely on him heavily.
(But don't tell him we said that!)
Harry
Nelis, Director. Harry is a Managing Director at
Accel Partners, a venture firm with over 25 years experience
in creating top technology companies. Harry is based in London,
and in addition to leading our European strategy, he is also
instrumental in our plans for Kayak Mobile (coming soon).
Michael Moritz is a venture capitalist at Sequoia Capital focusing on software and services investments. Prior to joining Sequoia Capital in 1986, he worked in a variety of positions at Time Warner and was a Founder of Technologic Partners.
