10.0 Wonderful
Pros:The room was so clean and the amenities were fun. The breakfast was amazing. The wine and cheese plate in the evening was yummy and cookies and milk for bed was amazing. So cute and fun. The bed was so comfortable and i loved the staff. They were personable and nice. The location was walking distance from downtown pacific grove which has somd cute places to check out and by a great restaurant peppers. It was a great location and we will definitely stay there again.
Cons:The parking was tricky. The cars were parked very close together and some were sticking out. But with patience it worked out.

10.0 Wonderful
Pros:Lovely to stay in an old victorian with a fireplace in the room and a little patio that had an ocean view. We prefer staying outside the touristy Carmel/Monterrey spots, and this is a short walk to great shops and restaurants in Pacific Grove. Great little touches like coffee & tea service in the lobby, cookies and a free glass of wine (that we missed - from 4-5 only). All staff were very warm and welcoming.
Cons:If you are a light sleeper, a victorian may be a challenge - can be a little noisy. Breakfast sounded hardier than it was - eggs & potatoes (a tiny scoop on a mini plate, but lots of sides like toast and fruit in the buffet).

Pros:It was close to the conference I was going to attend and My husband could roam around Monterey with the dog during the day.
Cons:Very quaint gas fireplace but it is the only source of heat which does not make it conducive for sleeping with the flames going most of the night (Rm. 12). Also the porch light was left on since we had told the clerk we would be a late check in and we were not able to find the switch to turn it off so it would not be too bright in the room for sleeping. Sleeping is alway difficult in a strange place/bed. It's nice to be able to control your environment to help as much as possible.
