Pros:I constantly travel between Hong Kong and southern China. I often use this hotel when I need to take an early Chinese high speed rail train and I want to skip the border. This is a western friendly hotel. It is comfortable with nice views of Lo Wu and Hong Kong. It has adequate plumbing. Above all, you are right at the border and the Shenzhen Metro and the train station to Guangzhou. There is even a great halal restaurant on Heping Road. The prices are reasonable.
Cons:I booked via an app and I used a credit card. Staff did not give me an option to pay in local currency but used USD automatically. This would have cost me another 5 USD. This is unacceptable bordering on theft. Everyone gives you an option to choose currency. Fortunately, I screamed bloody murder and paid in cash.
Pros:Close to the train station.
Cons:Gym and pool were out of bounds, Buffet breakfast only just average.
Cons:I booked Best Western Felicity Hotel for two nights, July 25-27. I arrived ataround 2:00 am at the hotel and they gave me a smocking room when I asked for a on smocking room. It smelled so bad that I couldn't bear it and I asked to be moved to a non smocking room. The room that they offered me had a smell of mold. It was so late at night, I just couldn't move out and search for another hotel. Then I was looking for an iron to steam my pants, and I couldn't find a plug in the room to plug it in. I called room service and they brought me a special transform. I finally had the transformer, the iron was broken. I had to call to exchange the iron. In the morning I wanted to go to the gym and swimming pool and it swimming closed due to renovation. I just feel it's not a 5 star hotel. I couldn't stand it any longer, I checked out and I went to a different hotel for the second night
Pros:Everything was very nice and pleasant, just as you expect from a 4 or 5 stars hotel.
Cons:Internet connection was very disappointing, more frustrating was that they know about it and don't do nothing to satisfy that need
Pros:They have English speaking staff, the room wad excellent i upgraded to a suit Room for only 100rmb. It looks and feels like a luxury hotel.
Cons:There internet connection sucks really sucks. Is like they have one connection to a million people. Frustrating slow.
