The Washington DC Residence Inn needs to be recognized for their great staff, especially those individuals running the breakfast bar and front desk. Their service and attention to details. From there, the hotel has a number of opportunities to improve. The hotel was under renovation, which meant the front desk was crammed onto the second floor and finishes were feverishly being applied. While the public areas are noticeably refreshed, the rooms are worn. The hotel’s website misstates queen beds being provided, which is incorrect. We had two full beds… which you can notice the difference with two adults. The room was poorly stocked with no spare toilet paper, body wash running out before the end of our trip, and towels not being delivered thru the app (we had to call the front desk the next day). The hotel is fine for families, but some improvements would be appreciated.

Pros:Location, near McPherson Station was perfect. Having the CVS, downstairs was a bonus. Very comfortable, and clean room. Staff was really nice.
Cons:The breakfast was a little crazy. Small space and a lot of travelers made for getting breakfast a little chaotic. Since the location is more downtown, the dining choices were limited. Most were lunch places for the business crowd. We had to Uber for more dining options in the Chinatown or Penn Quarter.

Pros:comfortable room with lots of space and clean/new kitchen appliances. corteous front desk and valet staff. great breakfast buffet. good location 1/2 mile walk to the convention center.
Cons:air conditioner was too loud and the thermostat was inaccurate so the room was too cold unless we shut the AC off completely.

Pros:Location was excellent to walk or take the metro everywhere, breakfast was good, evening reception 3 days a week with drinks and appetizers was good as well. The service and hospitality of the staff was top notch.
Cons:Parking is valet only and expensive, $45 a day. Thankfully we didn't rent a car and were able to just walk or ride the metro everywhere.
