Really lovely B&B -- the proprietors are exceedingly friendly and helpful, the breakfast is excellent and the rooms are very cozy. It's a bit far from Yosemite valley (about an hour and a half to Half Dome Village without traffic) but if you're okay with staying a bit further out I highly recommend it. Close to Oakhurst as well, which has some nice restaurants and grocery stores.
Great natural feeling landscape with beautiful view. Down in center of town within walking distance of many points of interest. On-site dining was disappointing but not a problem with many eateries nearby.
The staff were very accommodating. Room was spacious and had all the amenities. Great location! The only negative - pillows were not comfy.
The hotel was close to Yosemite which is why I came to the area. It was close to many restaurants and stores. So you had a wide variety of types of restaurants to choose from. I traveled alone but felt very safe in the area. The staff was very friendly and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. They really made my stay very pleasant. Wonderful staff both in the check in area and restaurant and bar located on the premises. The room was clean and quiet. The lobby was lovely and welcoming.
close to yosemite NP and close to businesses in Oakhurst. Rooms need updating, layout of rooms is tricky.
Room size, open feel, great location, ambiance, large and comfortable king beds, spacious bathroom, scenic location, friendly staff.
The room accommodations and staff were excellent as was (surprisingly) the food at the hotel restaurant. Access to room was awkward since hotel is built on a hillside. Proximity to main part of Yosemite is deceiving. Although only 15 miles from southern park entrance it is another 26 miles to the main "valley" of Yosemite on a winding mountain road taking a total of 90 minutes. Excellent place to stay if only taking one day to see Yosemite highlights and driving through from the northern Mariposa entrance.
Beautiful grounds, well landscaped, beautiful lobby, comfortable bed, cool murals of Yosemite in room and lobby, balcony was a plus, dinner at restaurant right next door was excellent for the price. Pool was too far away, the whole property is on a hill and the pool is all the way at the top.
Close to highway 41 and Yosemite. The heater was very loud. Several times woke up to turn it off due to rattling and clicking sounds. Otherwise nice hotel, HOWEVER......woke up in the morning to our gas cap on the ground. Someone had syphoned over half a tank of gas outfoxed our expedition! That's ALOT of gas. We called the office, no security cameras and their 1 security guard happened to be off that night. Worst part is...they were aware. Staff response was "ugh! Again?! Havened to 5cars yesterday! It's a problem we have". Really? No notification to your patrons? No extra effort for increased security. Not ONE SIGN of "park at your own risk. Not responsible for loss or damage". No notice on any paper or receipt and no verbal communication. Spoke with manager who blew it off. Complete lack of customer service or even sense of responsibility. At least make patrons aware. We will not be back.
Rooms were great. Lobby is excellent. Location is good. over all excellent. I did not quite like the restaurant staff. Sorry I am having to say this.
The staff were accommodating and friendly. I was running in an event before continental breakfast would have been available so they packed me a goodie bag so I would have something to eat. They also accommodated a late check out for me so that I would be able to shower after my run before my long drive home.
Perfect for exploring Yosemite National Park
We thoroughly enjoyed the organised trip with bus driver/guide Marsha to Yosemite National Park. Marsha was extremely well informed and very knowledgeable about the park Finding our way about the hotel is very confusing and it would be very beneficial for visitors to have more maps/guidance along coridors as to which direction to turn for the main lobby, restaurants etc. We ,and many other visitors we saw, frequently lost our way!!
Accommodations No room service door hanger, so Room Service did not arrive until 3 p.m. when we were already back from our visit to Yosemite Park, taking a nap. My wife had to decline the service.
enjoyed the hotel very much just wish it was closer to yosemite valley
Proximity to Yosemite, roomy room, gift shop was reasonably priced, Difficult to navigate hotel, food selection was meager and over-priced, wine list fair, atmosphere good
Nice hotel in a beautifull environment. A little overpriced.
The facilities were excellent and the upkeep of the property was first rate. I would stay here again if the circumstances dictated. Nothing
Location, staff, facilities, the works Having to leave
Wonderful family lodge, with plenty to do for the whole family. Hotel could not deal with a lack of available hot water to the sink/shower, due to the number of guests staying at the hotel.
We liked EVERYTHING - staff that would go an extra mile, rooms, food, friendly, totally enjoyable 3 days! None
The romantic atmosphere. The toilet seat was so low to the water that my husband's private parts dangle into the water when he sat down. It bothered me also.
Restaurant was very nice for a small town and extremely friendly waitress. Air conditioner in the room did not work at check in. When I told them about it they jumped right on it and got it fixed right away, great job.
good value no time for breakfast
We paid extra for an in-room spa that did not work and I am still trying to get a refund.
The staff was upbeat, informative and fun to interact with. The free breakfast was great with lots of selections and good hot food. The Miners Restaurant across the parking lot was very good as well. Full menu with salad bar and quality made-to-order entrees.
We've stayed at another hotel in Mariposa last year and this hotel is FAR Superior. We were very impressed by the staff, the hotel was fully booked, but the rooms were comfortable and quiet. The complementary breakfast is worth the money alone: hot eggs and bacon, make you're own waffles, fresh fruit, and TONS of pastries. A lot of local shops are just a walk away. If you're wanting to go to the "downtown" area, you're going to want to drive down. I couldn't find anything that we didn't like. The thing I can see people might not like is the "age" of the rooms and furniture, but you're nitpicking, in my opinion.
Spa shouldn't be closed on cold seasons
Good value for the money. Friendly staff at the reception. Breakfast area a little small, but staff is very fast to respond with filling and cleaning. Overall very good experience.
They were very kind and welcoming. Great location and close to The Pines Resort where are friends were getting Married. It was a non smoking room but the room was either previously one or the previous guests did not abide. That was the only thing negative to say about this great, affordable Comfort Inn.
Th price was reasonable. Most Comfort Inn's are HOTELS this is a motel, which is not terrible. Just not real comfortable with that traveling alone - I will look closer the next time I book. Check in was slow and less than welcoming. When asked where If I wanted a room upstairs or down I said I did not care. Then in a loud voice she verified that I was traveling alone and other info - with a lobby full of people checking in. I didn't care for that being announced. When I drove to the section where my room was. I stayed in my car for some time because I felt uncomfortable with the group hanging out on the balcony, smoking, drinking and listening to loud music - who would be able to watch me walk to my room across the court yard alone with my bags. They stayed - so I just braved it out. I did not feel real safe & was very mindful of my surroundings when I later left and returned from dinner. Those people continued to party on a Thursday night until around midnight. I would not stay there again as a woman traveling alone. Breakfast the next day was marginal at best - I skipped it.
Location was close to Yosemite, and the room was clean. We got just what we needed - close, cheap stay to the park. It's a budget hotel but it's a good value for your money. The breakfast wasn't great, but I wasn't expecting it to be.
I loved the beds, the comfy pillows and clean sheets! Fridge had perfect capacity and the tv options made it easy to be a mom away from her kids on my solo adventure. The breakfast options were excellent. The a/c took awhile to catch up in the high temps but after a few hours it was an ice box. just took a bit to get there.
Hotel room was pretty clean and they had a good breakfast. The receptionists were friendly. It was 15miles away from the south entrance of Yosemite National forest, I wish it was closer.
Had a Bed and breakfast feel but still had the privacy of a hotel room. Walking distance to great food and quaint shops. It was still about an hour drive to Yosemite but the nicest on the outskirtsz
Location from town. Would not like some of the front rooms, we were in the back.
There was nothing we did not like. We enjoyed our stay.

Location. Size of the room. Walk in shower. My overall experience was affected primarily by the noisy tenants above! It wasn't the room itself. Very impressed. Our unfortunate experience was upstairs noisy neighbors up most of the night. I was awakened several times!
good stop over before Yosemite. Very clean and the people are very nice.
right downtown in walking distance to everything

homemade breakfast was awesome. better than 3 star hotel breakfast. i believe i had made a great decision to stay this place cus I couldnt see any better place while I was driving the area. The Inn was located very close to the south entrance means you dont need to drive extra 25 to 30 miles. The room was very clean and quiet. I hope other people also enjoy their stay at this place. It is my first writing review after the trip. nothing.
This place COULD be cool in the summer, when things are actually open. Still nothing special, though. I booked the place since they advertised a hot tub and a cool-looking bar and restaurant. When we got there we were told all of those things were closed for the season. We tried to get a partial refund because of the false advertising but they were uncooperative.
Less than 5 minutes away from South Entrance to Yosemite
Close to Yosemite but the hotel staff is terrible They were short tempered. They hung up the phone during the conversation. They asked us to use a pump on the toilet by ourselves (probably though we work for them)
Ease of check-in/check out. Breakfast. Convenience of location. Window blinds in bathroom were filthy. Noise and all night lights from adjoining restaurant/kitchen outside bathroom window were annoying, had to keep bathroom door closed. Heavy drapes in bedroom covered air conditioning vents preventing air from venting into room.
I liked that it is spacious and the fact that it has a kitchen, and has all the amenities of home. It is sort of like a home away from home. It needs some remodeling, and some very good cleaning, but otherwise it is in good condition.
The resort was on the lake with beautiful views & great food at the restraunts. No, i honestly liked all of it.
Spacious and comfortable , beautiful location. Tiny wash room
It was close to where I lived, the separate chalet, and the proximity to the lake. The views were fantastic. Not enought parking, the restaurant was awful, and the check out was too early.

Carpet looked dirty. Had musty odor. Shower head was way too low. Would not stay again.
The chalet was great, very spacious with nice views. A little far from Yosemite, it takes about 1.25 hours to get to the actual hiking trail/view points of Yosemite.
Great location on the lake. I did not get the room I reserved. The decor and general areas in and out of the room were old and kinda beat up. Needs a lot of cleaning and some renovation. Had a broken shower rod and handle. Among many other old and worn things.
-this is one of the best lodgings in the region -two story chalets with deck and individual driveway -complete kitchen with cutlery -friendly staff and guest -the general store and post office within the same space -free international long distance c -wifi signal for internets not working in our chalet -the location is secluded
The room and location were great. The room they assigned had only one bed. We requested 2 beds. The room they assigned reeked of marijuana smoke. After complaining, we were given a very nice room and were completely satisfied.
Great location. Nothing wrong.
Location was nice The hotel was dirty and not meeting 3 star level more like 1 star. Disappointing. They don't clean rooms daily.
It is a family inn managed by his owner. Very nice place. Kind of being at home. Very close to south entrance of Yosemite national park.
They had breakfast included, free parking, and free movie rentals. Our room door was left ajar for hours after the room was cleaned, and there were dead bugs squished on the walls of the bathroom and bedroom.
Walkable distance to restaurants and shops. Not too far from Yosemite. Room was clean. Owner was nice and helpful. Smell of curry everywhere is a restaurant. Room was right next to the lobby and the elevator. Kinda noisy. When we asked for another room, we were taold all the other rooms were dirty. Windows were facing the sidewalk. Vending machines are not working, had to ask the owner for assistance. Didn't have a microwave in the room, although it was supposed to be there.
Reasonably close to yosemite The room reeked of fresh paint fumes. It appeared that the hotel was managed / owned by a couple. The man was accommodating enough, but the woman was incredibly rude when I asked for an extra towel.
Location, towels and bed. Overpriced for what it is.
The staff was very nice and helpful. Located right in the heart of Mariposa so you can walk to shops and restaurants. Bed was very comfortable. It was a little pricey for room, but to be fair it was July.
A nice clean hotel. Great location, great value for the money.
Nice place, good price, not far from the entrance to Yosemite. Clean. Lobby is being remodeled. Room was spacious. I would stay here again. Toilet and shower/tub were a little old looking. But worked fine and clean. Breakfast could use a few more choices. Some hot foods besides toast would be nice.
Had big rooms and had offered a good breakfast in the mornings. Beds were comfortable. That I wasn't told there would be an immediate Room charge deposit placed on my cArd until I left. since I had already paid for the room prior I was expecting that extra charge right when I checked in.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Clean, comfortable room close to Yosemite.
Close to Yosemite National Park. Cute carved bears. Quite noisy, on a truck-filled highway, even after I specifically asked for a quiet room. Only a continental, not full, breakfast. Room needed a facelift; not attractive at all. Uncomfortable bed Hall carpet was filthy. No TV listing. Quite weak Wi-Fi signal. These are a lot of weaknesses for a three-star establishment with a $120 rate. I won't stay there again.
They surprised us with a suite with a huge balcony which was wonderful. Clean & lovely staff. Oakhurst is a small town with little to offer for fun. Breakfast is a cattle call with everyone fighting to warm their bread or bagel in 2 toasters. Oakhurst is much further than I'd imagined from Yosemite.
