Loved the location,amenities,and the resort!
Location was nice... Staff was really friendly. It was set up nice for families with a kitchen etc.
Had more of a condo feel... There was a large beach party going on with loud music! They did stop at 10pm though...
Hotel was clean. Staff was nice and helpful.
I liked the location, the facilities, swimming pool and entertainment areas.
TV & Internet not working :(

there was no maid service, to make beds or clean room. Had to ask for clean towels, the staff was very good about things, had to ask about coffee for next day, they usually charge for it ,but they gave us some without fees.
We trade into this hotel with our timeshare so we like it.
To many handicap spaces, we're in our 70's you can buy a handicap card on the internet and unless someone checks them there useless. Most of my friends have someone with walking problems drop them off and walk, its good for you.
Location is right in Avila and the public rooms have some great views.
Only 6 rooms not time share owned so the 6 rooms with no views are the rooms you get and they are dark and have only a sliding glass door to a walled balcony with no/extremely poor views. You can't get a room with a good view unless you are an owner.
The room furnishings were all very new and linens were spectacular. I really enjoyed the convenience of a full-kitchen.
If you are not a Vacation Rental owner then the rooms you are assigned have zero views. I had a balcony but was only able to see the sky above and the walls of buildings since all hotel rooms are within a open space between walls of the buildings.
The location was stellar
Lots of furniture & the chairs were so heavy it was nearly impossible to move them on the carpeting. Also no room view was kind of a downer. Since I rented the room and wasn't a timeshare owner I assumed the staff would come in to clean but did not.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious. We liked the heated pool and activity room. The location was excellent, great views and a short walk to the beach and town.
The room had a stuffy smell, doesn't get aired out enough. The balcony looked right into other rooms, so not a lot of privacy. There wasn't any room/food service or complimentary breakfast, just vending machines.
The location was great - right on the beach. The grounds were also beautiful. The pool, workout room and golf course were nice amenities.
The soundproofing between rooms was the worst of any hotel I've been in. We were kept up at night by the snoring of the person in the next room. When we requested a room change we were told we would be charged $65 to do so. Very disappointing.
The location, The facilities - Excellent!!
Everything was great!
We were allowed to check in early which was nice, but after checking in we immediately were hit with a pressured timeshare sell to try to get us to come to a presentation.
Beautiful location and nice rooms.
The refrigerator was loud enough that it kept waking us up during the night.
The Resort is undergoing renovations (you wouldn't know it; no mess no noise) and it is GRAND! It translates as a small fishing Village and yet, Pismo & Shell Beach, Arroyo Grande, Grover Beach and Oceano are within miles (so is San Luis Obispo). I am from San Diego (Southern California is WAY different, above Los Angeles is much more kick-back, less traffic and yet offers plenty of recreation, entertainment and dining---oh yeah, WINE COUNTRY). Enjoyed bike riding (can find relatively flat riding), hiking, skating, Melodrama (in Oceano), taking the Light House hike tour tomorrow and Kayaking the Bay Thursday (plenty of birds, sea lions, hope to see dolphins and whales on the Kayaka trip). Been in the 60's & 70's seems plenty warm once you get going, the pool is heated, nice work out room and Rec rooms. Farmer's Market nearby and plenty of 'city' shopping (including an Outlet).LOVE IT and will be back! STAYED A WEEK not 4 days....rated mid-week
